I may have found a Korean song that I actually like, for real.

As my time in Korea progresses, there are some Kpop songs that are actually catching hold in my head, for better or worse. I suppose my favorite Kpop artist is Son Dambi, as she has 2 songs that I like. I already posted Saturday Night before, this time it's Crazy ft. Eric (whoever 'Eric' is). I could definitely, definitely live without Eric's verse but the song is catchy in a way. I guess it's supposed to me some kind of 80's shtick. Look up the video on youtube for the infamous (in Korea) 'chair dance' [...]

No underlying theme. Just what I've been in love with lately: oOoOO: NoSummr4u [zshare] What an annoying name for a band. What a great cover though. Blane Fonda: Salacious Love [zshare] [...]

Loyal Divide: Vision Vision [zshare] Hot Chip + Portishead + Flying Lotus + Timbaland + Radiohead

I'm just going to post these willy-nilly as the inspiration comes, so this is really in no particular order, BUT that being said, these 2 are absolutely top-5 of the year and quite possibly top-2. Here's my judgement: Tanya Morgan - Brooklynati I've been a fan of TM for a short while, starting with the mixtape Tanya Morgan Is a Rap Group, and during that short period I downloaded/bought almost everything of theirs I could (thanks to Don, www.mcdayjob.com) . Most of their stuff was a combination of good and not-so-good but they definitely showed promise, [...]

Sade: Soldier of Love [zshare] Whoah. I've been jamming out to this song for a bit now. I just assumed that it was some epic, maybe unreleased, song I had missed. Nope. This is NEW Sade. This makes me very happy.

Sometimes listening to music you don't understand can help you appreciate the actual beauty of the song as a whole, and the voice as an instrument. Also, I find it's the best music to help you fall asleep. Download: Buena Vista Social Club - Candela [zshare]

Sunset Rubdown: Idiot Heart [zshare]

Closest thing you're gonna get to a holiday post. [From me at least] I kinda lost my Christmas spirit 5yrs ago. But here are a couple of my fave "Boooo! It's Christmas so soon?" songs. Okkervil River: Listening To Otis Redding At Home During Christmas [zshare] Vince Guaraldi Trio: Christmas Time is Here (Instrumental) [zshare] Broken Social Scene: Handjobs for the Holidays [zshare]
In the episode of The X Files called "Orison," an escaped convict named Donny Faster (making his 2nd appearance) comes after Scully because he loves her red hair. He also wants to eat her pinky, no euphemism. Anyways, this song features prominently in the episode, as Scully and Mulder try to chase down Faster they hear it everywhere. The song isn't bad, but you'd have to try hard to make a music video with more absurdity for your buck than this one.
Dirty Three: Sea Above, Sky Below [zshare] Dirty Three speaks to me in a way that few other bands/artists can. I can't even begin to describe them.

Passion Pit: I've Got Your Number [zshare] Somewhere between Architecture in Helsinki and Black Kids.
