To anyone trying to keep up with what's going on in Iran, the best coverage I've found is on Huffington Post. Specifically on this liveblog. It's been fantastic throughout the weekend while a lot of the networks were (not surprisingly) taking the weekend off. This documentary seems like it might get at the heart of what modern architecture and design really is. I can attest to the power of materials, thoughtful placement, and the act of coexisting with your space as an absolute extension of yourself in nature. It's more than a chair or a color scheme, it's more than easily-marketable/easily-blogg ed nostalgia.
