This album is not for everyone. I absolutely love it. One of my favorites of the last couple of years. Stereogum , working with Amazon.com , is offering the album on sale for 1.99. Stereogum and Amazon teamed up and Stereogum picks albums to put on sale for a ridiculously low price. If you have any interest in picking up this album....now's the time. It's awesome...thumbs up. Buy Here.
I always forget about these guys, usually go through a little listening phase of them about once a year. I guess the best way to describe them is a "Seattle Super Group". The band consists of Layne Staley (Alice in Chains), Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees), Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), and John Baker Saunders (The Walkabouts). Honestly just kinda sounds like Alice in Chains, because of Layne, but I fucking loved those guys when I was younger (and hated my parents). enjoy...

Gordon Voidwell , old school, this shit is simple yet additively catchy, this could be the cure for the Swine Flu. Gordon Voidwell has crazy 3 a.m. dance party written all over him. I have every intention of catching Gordon live at some point this summer and pouring a drink all over myself. You should come with me. I can really get a good sweat going when I get moving.....yeah you heard me. 88 degrees this week. This shit should be rocking on your boombox while you play stickball. I dig it...big time. Respect Gordon [...]

Shoot it right in there. Booya. Wire - 40 Versions Wire - Blessed State I am the Craigslist Killer, Hipster Grifter, Swine Flu and sometimes Encephalitis.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday for The Vaselines with Woods opening at the Bowery Ballroom Sunday May 17th I will be there. The Vaselines inspired so much of the music I really truly love (they wrote 'Jesus Don't Want Me for a Sunbeam' and 'Molly's Lips' and pretty much anything Kurdt Kobain every played) and Woods are an up and coming, terrific band. This will be fun for anyone, seriously. It will be chill. Check ticketbastard (get it, that's a play on the word ticketmaster, cause they suck...ugh...kill me) for tickets on Tuesday. [...]
Ever wonder how professional bull riders learned their, uh, craft? Me neither really... but contrary to personal belief, they don't just throw you on top of a bull at a young age and say "Get R Done Johnny Bob!". Instead, they have children between the ages of birth and 6 ride the backs of Mutton like a bull until they fall off. They call it Mutton Bustin', and it's all the rage among rednecks, I presume. Since kids hurting themselves is already one of the funniest things ever, this activity has a lot of promise. It's like learning how to [...]
This show has been been on Adult Swim for a couple of weeks now and I'm totally hooked. It's kinda like a cracked out British version of Pee Wee's Playhouse (I fuckin loved that show when I was a kid). It's about two friends that run a shop for a Wizard and a Gorilla. Sounds weird right?...well it is. The Mighty Boosh - Crimp Off!

Jesus christ.....U2 REALLY should have let Fred Falke and Justice produce their album. These tracks are WAYYYYYY sweeter than the actual album, this tracks is going to be all over the place. Kick it. Great job! Respect. Check it! Taste make! Tazed Wizard! Catchphrase! U2 - Magnificent (Fred Falke Remix) Bonus: Annie - Anthonio (Fred Falke Remix) When are Lifelike or Fred Falke coming back to NYC, the Lifelike show I caught at Studio B last year was epic.

I love Clipse...even with the gay fish. Kayne's verse is pretty sweet none-the-less. Clipse - Kinda Like a Big Deal (ft. Kanye West)
I like Blank Dogs a lot. I have some of his stuff on vinyl and it sounds great. I might be in the minority on this one but I stand by the guy. Here is a music video....that is all.
Michael McKean compares Spinal Tap to Ween...at minute 2:23.

I probably just should have added these images to Pierre's McDonalds Pizza post, but I read this article in the Wall Street Journal this morning and couldn't believe they were actually going to sell this. Pierre: "I feel like I just gained 10 lbs looking at the pic of those pasta bowls"
Embedded video from CNN Video HAHAHAHA....I love news about poop. 3 posts today! That's more than I had last month. Thanks Murph for this.
Also Band of Horses > Coldplay. I know, pretty obvious, but they just sort of sound like they should be as successful as Coldplay to me because they operate in sort of the same sonic territory, only they don't make you want to eat thumbtacks by the fist-full.

Let's get back to our dreamtard roots for a minute. So Busy P's birthday was lastnight. After a bunch of Busy P crew regulars did their sets, the one and only Thomas Bangalter (1/2 of Daft Punk) took the decks for a small three song set, unmasked. It's hard to argue that that party doesn't look totally awesome, especially when you get a surprise like that...wow. Great job! Thomas sort of just looks like a 40 year old jewish guy from Long Island. Introduction > Rollin & Scratchin (Daft Punk) [...]

Thanks Drew for the heads up on this. I saw Green Day a few years ago in Ithaca (I think) and it was f*cking awesome. I did an excessive amount of fist pumping. They reserved "Life Long Benefit of the Doubt" status from me a long time ago....so, I don't even care if their new album sucks and they all look stupid in eye-liner. I love these guys forever. "Reprise Records' Grammy Award winning rock band Green Day have announced that they will hit the road for their first proper tour of the United States and Canada [...]
Natalie sent me this link and I LOL'd. Here's the dialogue: "With those cold depressing days of winter behind us, if you can't frolic through the wildflower fields of Southern California, then what better way welcome the warm weather than sprucing up your boring apartment with a little spring decorating. Hurry now because this original Samantha Haberkorn coffee table won't last long. What? You've never heard of the Samatha Haberkorn collection? Maybe that's because you've never been to a brothel or visited enough public bathroom stalls where you surely [...]
