Premiere over at Gorilla vs. Bear.
Banks drops a Father's Day gift covering a Peter Gabriel classic, "In Your Eyes." Enjoy. Hi Dad.

Get up with the get down...wait until this jam comes on during the next Tiki Disco. TODD TERJE's Norwegian. What do you think? Just let it spin in the background...see if people start dancing in your office.
Earnest Greene, a.k.a Washed Out is back at it. This time, as always, delivering summer jams that evoke memories of Corona soaked days in the sun. Drunken, sunny, joyous days. You know...when it all feels right? See what we did there. Enjoy.
No Age's new album: An Object is due August 20th on Sub Pop.

Any new sounds these days outside of the increasingly tired litany of beat-driven pop and gurgling electronics are met with immediate attention at Stark. Enter a sleepless morning, a Pitchfork Rising feature and 25 year old South African John Withers - aka John Wizards . Withers songs - while rough and homemade are startling refreshing given our curent summer music landscape - at times reminding us of the first time we heard The Very Best. While it's hard not to make a reference to Vampire Weekend - it's important to note that when Withers sings of South [...]
"Man" is an over-driven pulsing new ripper from Neko Case who thankfully seems to get louder, faster and more urgent with age. Given the song's pointed gender-upheaval, we have a strong feeling that's Neko in a cowboy hat and 'stache above. M.Ward guests on guitar. Which one, we're not sure. The Worse Things Get, The Harder I Fight, The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You is out 9/3 on Anti-.

Yep. Let's get weird this morning with Trent. DIG IT!!!
Disclosure's new record Settle is out now and is explosive! Pitchfork Best New Music and poised to be one of the records of the year. Dig their cover of the absolute smash hit, Duke Dumont's "Need U (100%)". Original here.

Gauntlet Hair: "Human Nature" Director Ryan Ohm captures the dark corners of Chicago where it seems this track was born. Channeling the sulking pop of Jesus and Mary Chain, melody and rhythm bubble along under the surface - muted and metallic complementing the visuals described as: "atmospheric... and eerie leaving the viewer with a strange sense of uncertainty, not sure how to feel."

Olympia is out June 18 on Domino. Great new look from Austra . Hooky, danceable, energetic.

While we did not enjoying seeing Detroit's Red Wings ousted by The Blackhawks a few nights back - we're very much liking this dense, overdrivin, pulsing and very welcome new track from Fuck Buttons . Their new album, and first in four years, 'Slow Focus' is Out July 23 via ATP Recordings.
After Dark 2 is awesome, and out now. Pick it up. New Chromatics below.

Wow - for as bad that Rage cover was, the new CHVRCHES tune is a slice of prime 80s Top 40 pop, in a good way. Certainly veers closer to the mainstream than their earlier work, but we're not sure which direction they ultimately want to go here. Be interesting to hear more tracks as they roll out.
" Fantasy , the new record from Lightning Dust (Amber Webber and Josh Wells of Black Mountain), will be out on Jagjaguwar on June 25th (24th in the UK). Fantasy is Lightning Dust's third proper full-length album, and it finds its inspiration in skeletal synth pop, modern R&B beats, the films of John Carpenter and -- in accordance with Lightning Dust's only longstanding rule -- absolute minimalism."

Can't wait for this album. Settle drops June 3

Out of the many artists that produce light airy and often ethereal music (see Grouper, Juliana Barwick, Laurel Halo) - Julia Holter easily holds her own - especially on the back of her lovely 2012 record Ekstasis . Today, we hear the new track "World" from her forthcoming album Loud City Song - due August 20th. Also upcoming (according to iTunes pre-order) is an album titled Maria featuring some new tracks, as well as her more popular tracks from Ekstasis - expected May [...]

Following an excellent debut - Pure Bathing Culture have crafted a fantastic sophomore effort in Moon Tides . With more sophisticated song structures and a delicate execution, PBC channel the best parts of Beach House with tinges of Cocteau Twins and a West Coast wispiness that fits their aesthetic perfectly. Moon Tides is out on August 20 on Partisan Records . Loving everything we've heard so far. VIA
