"Maybe Aldous Huxley was right. We have no need for love, this is just modern life". Heads We Dance are an awesome foursome all the way from England from some place called Leeds. I passed over there Myspace and saw that they were influenced by Daft Punk (my favourite peeps ever) among others so I thought it most appropriate to have a listen/geez. Describing themselves as having a fascination with love, modern life and the internet and with their music has been described as 'custom chromed aerodynamic pop' it is most smart to post [...]

This is going to be an effort. Only because right now I don't remember 90% of the day. I pretty sure I had a ton a fun though. Well yeah. First Impressions. Arrival at the gate. Were abit early. So we have to wait around which is really weird because people are looking at me like I was some sort of freak. First thing we see when they start letting people in is some kid getting moved aside by security and having cops search him only to find 7 pills. Out come the gloves. [...]

Saturday. Supposed to have a quiet one. You know, we've got WE LOVE SOUNDS on Sunday. So. What should we do? Get retarded on beers and dance nearly all night to the Bag Raiders awesome set down at the Steyne Hotel at Manly? Umm Ok. It was hot. It was sweaty. It was intense. Exciting, insane, sing-along fun. Just as we stomped and head bobbed our way to the dancefloor, Bag Raiders dropped their fairly new remix of The Galvatrons 'When We Were Kids' , [...]

With the upcoming WE LOVE SOUNDS festival featuring Mr. Oizo from ED Banger Records (France), I thought it appropriate to post his remix of " Killing In The Name ". Originally by Rage Against The Machine & edited By SebastiAn , this little gem might actually make you go insane. In the good way of course. Also I'm adding SebasitAn 's edit & another couple Rage Againtst The Machine remixes. [...]

This is a little different to what I normally post. It's an ode dedicated to the great Australia lass. Great song by 'The Aeiral Maps ' from their album In the Blinding Sunlight , inspired by a poem by Adam Gibson . Just a great true blue aussie BBQ song. Here's some of the lyrics: She's played netball at some point She's been to the races Had sex on a beach And blown all her wages [...]

In my opinion the best song ever is One More Tim e by Daft Punk . Released in 1999 on the album ' Discovery ', the sexy sythpop classic club smash hit, believed to contain a sample of " More Spell on You " by Eddie Johns , still fires up dance floors today. Everytime I hear this play my face brightens up, I cannot help but smile and I go mental. This is truly a wonderful masterpiece. Written and sung by the American DJ, Singer and Producer; Romanthony , who Daft Punk [...]

The virtual world of Liberty City (near replica of New York) is visually outstanding and scrutinously detailed, basically fucking amazing. Strauss Zelnick, Chairman of Take-Two (the game's maker) explains that " Grand Theft Auto IV 's first week performance represents the largest launch in the history of interactive entertainment ". So in other words, best game ever. It gained half a billion US dollars revenue in the first week, smashing the new movie release " Iron Man ". This is a music blog however, so the reason I'm posting this is cause of one of the [...]

"I saw his body thrashing round, I saw his pulse rate goin' down, I saw him in convulsive throes, I said "I'll have one of those" - (He'll Never Be An) Ol' Man River - TISM TISM (short for This Is Serious, Mum) formed in the early 80's, becoming one of the most popular Australian underground groups of their time. Wearing masks to hide their true identity (sound familar) and out to be as offensive as possible, they gained cult status due to their hilarious lyrics and insane antics. While [...]

Lately i've been frothing over SebastiAn , especially after his remix of " Killing In The Name " by Rage Against The Machine . The sythed guitar makes me want to jump around and kick a wall. Not that im a violent person, its just insane... His new release, " Dog " reminds me a little of it and also gets me going. Have a listen: Download: Dog - SebastiAn (Right Click, Open in new window) [...]

Ok, so I can't get enough of Stereoheroes and The Presets at the moment. The Presets new album Apocalypso is most likely going to be awarded 2008's Aussie Album of the Year. Diverse, filled with great vocals and filthy electro, techno beats as present in songs like " This Boy's In Love " and " Kicking and Screaming " while having softer more poppier songs like " A New Sky " and " If I Like You " the masterpiece appeals to everyone. Anyway, since in previous posts I've already posted some [...]

Got sent this little clip of Van She Tech's re-edit of Utah Saints' " Something Good " and cacked myself. You defiantely need to check this out. Funny shit! PLEASE do yourself a favour and go and watch this funny ass clip here Download: Something Good - Utah Saints (Right Click and open in new window) [...]

Stereoheroes . Extremely cool electro outfit from france. Nearly all of their songs are on repeat on my Ipod at the moment. Their music makes you get up and want to do backflips off walls and then have ridiculously energetic sex or maybe thats just me? Whatever the case blogsites all over are frothing over them and for good reason. Download: Washout - Stereoheroes [zshare] (Right Click and open in new window) (TOO LATE) Recently, In an [...]

Its 9:30am. Saturday Morning. I'm Running along George Street in thongs AND, Its f*cken cold. But hey, its Delta, Operator Please AND The Presets !!!! Arriving, we are greeted by a pack of kids yelping enthusiastically for Goodrum and the HOT looking lady lapping up the attention. She is seriously 'ridicualously good looking'. When she smiles even the grumpy, hungover photographers in front of us are able to curve a little smile. Things kick off with her fairly new song You Will Only Break My Heart. Then she starts [...]

Two nights ago I was lucky enough to go and see The Presets, Cut Copy & Robyn playing live at the little venue of the Forum located in Moore Park. The place was packed with 'industry folk' as well as lucky punters who'd either won tickets or been invited by their mates. All in all: It was such a fuckin good night! To begin the night Cut Copy played some fresh stuff from their newly released album In Ghost Colours [...]
