No Title Sunday Post I have had a very pain filled, pinched nerve week and finally I am feeling myself again. You never know how healthy you are until something goes wrong and then the respect you had for your well being is once again relaized. I hope to be back in the game this week keeping up with your musical appetites for great new stuff. Cheers. UK Grime master Skepta gets a remix of his 'Rolex Sweep' dance track which I'm guessing by the youtube video is spoof on these crunk idiot [...]

No Title The Subs + The Black Ghosts + OldSchoolReunion I have to apologize for the sporadic nature of my posts lately. I have picked up a rather nasty pinched nerve in my neck and shoulders and have been basically in traction for the last few days. So much so that I am missing the Thunderheist show tonight. I am in pain people. But for you I suffer so heres the newest from The Subs from Belgium called 'Papillion' with a nice nifty pair of tracks from everyones favorites [...]

No Title Cash Candy + Sally Shapiro A little while back I posted a couple of remixes of Sally Shapiro with a remix by label mates Woodhands and today there are more remixes to offer from another EP release by the Swedish chanteuse. The Spitzer and Grahm Zilla remixes are great vocal remixes of the highest electro order, whereas the Russian Futurists apply their trademark indie pop my bloody valentine style shufflings to this pop ditty. Footnote - I can't wait to see Grahm open for Thunderheist [...]

No Title Math Head 'Turn The Music Up' + Chubby Fingers Brooklyn's Math Head has just released a sweet EP on Palms Out Sounds in conjunction with Trouble + Bass called 'Turn The Music Up' which in reality is a great name for this package of electro tunage. It will definitely make you wanna turn the knob to 11. Math Head also have another EP soon out on Ad Noiseam called 'Stab City' and if 'Turn The Music Up' is any indicator than I can't fucking wait for [...]

No Title Sunday Post Boys Noize records and productions have fast become the yardstick by which many upstarts that are short on original creativity are looking to absorb and emulate. The reason for this is that almost everything the Beez Neeez touches turns classic. Shadowdancer from Manchester is a perfect example. I need not ponder upon reciept of these tracks whether or not they are going to blow my head off. I just duck when applicable and nod with furious head bang approval. To [...]

No Title Delicious Vinyl All Stars RMXXOLOGY Established in 1987 Delicious Vinyl has been a major alternate creative force to what is known as West Coast style rap and hip hop. Having within their ranks such original talents as Young MC and Tone Loc who set the standard for party jams and crossover mass appeal hip hop, they also captured the intellectual side of the music later with The Pharcyde, Masta Ace and super funky jazz hybrid hoppers The Brand New Heavies. I myself would not have been able to come to [...]

No Title Few For Friday After all the hype surrounding the release of their debut album Does It Offend You Yeah have weathered the critical storm only by the skin of their teeth. It is thanks due to the remixes offered by various artists and secondly due to the strength of the original material. Lifelike strolls over this already great indie houser. In the last few remixes Lifelike has carved out a new niche in the house scene of not only remixing great indie prospects but also being one [...]

No Title Thursday Throwdown First up is the Brit Kitsune house masters autoKratz . These guys are knockin out the jams double time and they keep increasing the heat with each release. Their reworks are always on par with the originals which is not always the case in the blog house electro scene. A lot of artists fall into the trap of taking on too many remixes and over exhausting their potential by spreading themselves to thin in the style department. The boys from London were signed to their illustrious [...]

No Title Shinichi Osawa 'Electro 411' Lies In Disguise Remix Le Castle Vania and Lies In Disguise do some of my favorite remixes lately so I was more than excited to see that Dylan from L.C.V. and L.I.D. sent us a new remix today of Shinichi Osawa's 'Electro 411'. This a show stopper and like all L.I.D. projects they are pure unadulterated fire. Need I remind you of the PartyShank Penis vs Vagina remix they did. I think not. Don't stand too close [...]

No Title Dmitry Fyodorov and Lutzenkirchen I am not sure what has me more excited this June. The Euro 2008 or the upcoming Wpg Jazz Fest. Seeings how I am not about to post Portugal vs Greece 2004 I figured why not some Thunderheist with a remix by Nasty Nav and JFK. I can't wait to see Thunderheist live and hope that in years to come the Jazz fest organizers will seek to expand the New Beats (formally the New Groove section) of our festival here in Winnipeg. Hook 'n' [...]

No Title Sunday Super Post Another week on the calendar bites the dust and as usual it went by way too fast. The highlight of my week was getting really drunk at Bar I on Thursday with Voules and a couple of buds for no apparent reason. Hence the no post this past Friday. I certainly paid the price. First off its another 2008 Winnipeg Jazz Festival artist with Alice Russell . I am looking forward to this live show immensely and to give you a bit of [...]
