Still in the process of watching and I'm struck with the strange fact that The Jonas Boys' MUST be virgins with dance moves like that. I love that this performance is still on and I can take the video from You Tube. You Tube is indeed rad. I also wanted to include these two songs that both appeared tonight and they're both pretty good! And you know why U2? Because of the breakdown at 2:29. "Let me in the sound?" Um, yes please :) U2 - Get On Your Boots [...]

I love weekends that start off with nothing happening and then all of a sudden you're trying to figure out where to fit sleep in. Saturday I headed down to Pacifica's Moose Lodge with my friend Trish where her nephews were playing in their band, The Thrashers. Remember they're 8. I was impressed as hell. And the greatest thing? There was a HUGE crabfeed after with $3.50 beers - AWESOME!!! Ended up coming home to participate in impromptu Family Time with Bell, Don Juan and Jay Bird where we saw this video: [...]
So, this week has completely sucked the life out of me but here's some stuff that you can waste some time on this week :) The Longest List of the Longest Stuff at the Longest Domain Name Where you can find out what the Longest Album Title ever is (Fiona Apple's "When The Pawn" if you're interested) Will It Blend? OH COME ON!!!! This is exactly the stupid shit that we would think of doing in our late teens when we were bored. And this guy gets to [...]
By now, everyone's heard of Christian Bale completely losing it with the Director of Photography on the set of Terminator 4: Salvation. And where there's audio there are You Tube users willing to mash it up. There's a really crappy house version out there but mixing Bale's audio with the trailer to "He's Just Not That Into You"? Hilarious results: Dude definitely has anger issues...
I actually kind of cut out this weekend and hung out with myself. I must say, I'm very fun. I even stood in line at Forever 21 for 20 minutes - god knows where I got this whole "patience" thing from. It must be the fact that all week I've been cutting out caffeine and then finally allowed myself a coffee. Everything was rosy-filled after that and I don't remember much :) Now, onto this week's offerings: First up is the new video for The Cool Kids "Pennies" which is excellent and I love these guys. [...]

So, Chachel is back in school and on a rough schedule so for a while I'll be taking over Killing Time Fridays again. With the help of Bell and Jay-bird here are some things to keep you occupied while you're counting down the minutes to getting the hell out of work and starting your Superbowl weekend drinking. Terrorist Subtitles... Next try this - at least it will occupy your mind for hours... 1000 Awesome Things How Sesame Street interpreted Law & Order... And I'm [...]

God it's glorious :) So I've been waiting for MONTHS for the new lineup for Coachella (Indio, CA 4/17-4/19) and I FINALLY got the email this morning. Count me in for Friday for sure...:) Click on the image above to get tickets and believe me you won't regret going (I've been twice and it's one of the best festivals I've EVER been to...).
Oh...and what do you guys think of the new layout? If any of you are out there...hellooooooooooo??????? ?????

One of the most fun songs ever performed live happened when I saw Incubus at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium with my sister and some of the Philence boys. Unfortunately it was the tour in support of that atrocious album "Morning View" (the one that spawned "Are you in?" No I bloody well am not...) so a lot of their best album, S.C.I.E.N.C.E. wasn't even played. We were kinda getting to that point that we were going to leave until...their encore was this song. Chachel and I bounced our way through all three minutes and eleven seconds in which they [...]
I was home sick today feeling like my head was just two seconds short of floating off my body…it's this weird stuffy feeling but…never mind…we don't have to get into that. Because of my being stuck at home all day moving from bed to couch, I watched seven hours of Bravo's "Behind the Actor's Studio" - excellent show by the way if you've never seen it. Anyway, the one question James Lipton would always get to with his guest was that one moment that changed them, that set them on that career path they were destined to be on. Seeing [...]

I'm sick. My head's all woozy and it serves me right for going out with my boys last night. We ended up going to Roe which was kinda fun except I can't remember the last time I paid $20 to get into a club. Anyway, back to the sniffles. Thank god for Nyquil is all I'm saying (and the fact that I did my music search yesterday because if I was doing it now it would be even weirder choices than I already have). So, onto this week's music. First off is The Knife's Karin [...]

Music For The Jilted Generation came out in 1994 in England and it was my first foray into electronica - I was 12. It was like contraband in our homeroom - people passed it back and forth so they could make their own copies on cassettes (for everyone born after 1990 these are those little plastic things with tape wrapped around two spools) and for months we would sit and argue at lunch which one was the best track on the album. For me, it was "No Good" and it still is. Yes, "Funky Shit" has that fabulous Beastie Boys [...]
I just got back from SoCal an hour ago so I'm knackered right now and not really in the mood to type my life story. So here's your All In A Week's Work: Three anticipated albums (for me at least) are represented by Kelly Clarkson, Franz Ferdinand, and Justin Timberlake. Kelly's gone back to the sold out popstar she was (I love you Kelly, I'm just saying that your last album? Pretty damn good despite what Clive Davis said. "Chivas" was the perfect "I hate you for breaking my heart" song and was excellent to sing to in [...]

Damon Albarn debuted three new Gorillaz songs on my home country's Radio 1 last night and you know how I can't get enough of this band. They're all demos at this point but at least it gives you a little soupcon of what's to come. Dude's gonna be busy this year what with the Blur reunion tour this summer and then bringing the upcoming Gorillaz project to Syria in March. I for one can't wait :) Gorillaz - Broken Gorillaz - Electric Shock [...]
I don't give an eff that this is the fourth installment of "Fast and The Furious" and that I've seen parts 1-3. I like cars and fast ones at that and it really can't hurt that pretty boy Paul Walker's in it (even though his smirking really starts to piss me off after a while) as well as the other three main cast members from the original movie. What's the real reason I'll be seeing this on a big screen and quietly squealing to myself like a 14 year old? Vin Diesel. Hot Man Jones (and for anyone trying to [...]

The Haight Street Fair, Summer 2003, gorgeous day. Chachel had come in to San Francisco to stay with me and deciding that eating meat on a stick and getting drunk on the hippiest street in the U.S. was a good way to spend a day we headed down there. After walking around and dealing with our barbarian needs we were starting to get tired until...some DJ who apparently lived on an apartment above one of the stores opened his window, stacked his speakers on the window ledge and started spinning Deee-Lite's "Groove Is In The Heart." All of a sudden [...]

It appeals to my sick sense of humor...
I am currently surviving off of five hours of sleep. In the Dramatic Annie scheme of things this is not good. Especially when I've only had one can of Diet Coke today (people who know me would be running away at this point giving me a good four block radius to let me vent my non-caffeinated self to perfect strangers - I apologize to the guy in the post office on my lunch break). However, it's 73 degrees outside right now. And it smells like summer (kinda) and I love that but it's far too early in [...]
Bert and Ernie do M.O.P.'s Ante Up. I'm currently doing that soundless, doubled over thing where you can't catch your breath you're laughing so hard. So New Year's Resolution #1 (to quit smoking) didn't happen cold turkey but is being cut down. Therefore I am on New Year's Resolution #2: to have as much effin fun as possible this year. This starts with next weekend in SoCal followed by a weekend of snowboarding in Tahoe with Gabey. So I'll need some serious travel music to listen to and anything that makes me bounce up and down in the [...]
OK. Ideal Man was under the impression that Britney Spears' "Womanizer" only had a few words such as "You're," "a," "womanizer," "izer," "eiser," "eisenhower" and I would just like to take this second (seeing as Chachel didn't post Killing Time Fridays today) to post the opening lyrics to "Womanizer:" Superstar Where you from, how's it going? I know you Gotta clue, what youre doing? You can play brand new to all the other chicks out here But I know what you are, what you are, baby Look at [...]
