Last night, the crowd gathered at the ongoing Occupy Wall Street protest got a bit of a surprise when Neutral Milk Hotel 's Jeff Mangum performed an acoustic set. Mangum played several songs during his set including a cover of Minutemen 's " Themselves ". After wrapping-up his performance the frontman said "You guys have done a beautiful fucking thing." Bright Eyes have teamed up with Swedish duo First Aid Kit to record a cover of the White Stripes ' " We're Going To Be Frieds ". The recording was part of a collaborative forthcoming charity album curated by Gift Horse Project and Manimal Vinyl Records with a goal to record school friendly covers of a slew of popular songs. Adele has been forced to cancel her upcoming U.S. tour. The singer was due to kick off a 10-city tour on October 7 in Atlantic City but was forced to drop all dates after suffering a hemorrhage in her vocal cords. A spokesperson for the singer said Adele was ordered by a doctor to take a break. Last month, Tony Bennett release a new album, ' Duets II '. The album featured duets with a series of diffent artists including John Meyer and Amy Winehouse . The album also featured a duet with Lady Gaga for track " Lady Is A Tramp ". Arctic Monkeys have announced plans to return to New York City for a special intimate show. The band will be hosting a show for registered fans only at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on October 19. Fans hoping to attend the show should register for the band's email list and keep their eyes out for an email detailing ticket information. The show will be limited to only 500 fans.
