Details are still being updated but it seems as if sax player Tommy Marth, who sometimes played with the band The Killers , has committed suicide. According to news reports, he was found dead in his Las Vegas home this past Monday. We used to mostly only post music videos on Fridays for our weekly feature, Video Of The Week. We would also occasionally post music videos when a noteworthy one appeared. Lately though, as you may have already noticed, we have been posting more and more videos. This latest from Cloud Nothings debuted last week, and the animated short film is astounding. Local and regional fests are becoming much more popular and common as of late. Presented by Insomniac Events, Meltdown Music Festival 2012 will happen in Dallas on Saturday June 2nd. The line up includes Passion Pit, Flux Pavilion, Pretty Lights, The M Machine, Feed Me, Shiny Toy Guns and DJs Steve Angello and Sander Van Doorn, among others. New Orleans hip-hop star Curren$y , just kicked off the Jet Life 'Direct Flight' Tour 2012 on 4/20 in Houston. After also playing Austin, the Jets crew arrived in Dallas for the next scheduled show Monday night. Several hours before it started, Curren$y was either arrested or detained by Dallas police. This week's video of the week was more of a challenge than usual. Not only is this is the 2nd weekend of Coachella, it's also 4/20. I finally remembered this song which came out a few years ago. Snoop Dogg will be at Coachella on Sunday night, and today Willie Nelson is getting a monument installed in Austin. It will be an 8-foot statue that will be unveiled at 4:20 pm.
