So-Cal alternative rockers The Dirty Heads have announced their long-awaited new album, Cabin By The Sea , which will be globally released on Five Seven Music on June 19th. The album, produced by Mario C., was recorded at Sonic Ranch Studios in Texas and features collaborations with Matisyahu, Del the Funky Homosapien, Ky-Mani Marley and Rome. Making a few surprise stops by SXSW was probably a good idea for Wiz Khalifa . His new mixtape, Taylor Allderdice , came out Tuesday. It was downloaded so much and so quickly that it caused mixtape website Datpiff which hosted it to crash. You just never know which rumors to believe or doubt at SXSW . I heard on Wednesday from an older white woman in her 502s that looked like a Grandmother that Snoop Dogg was to be making a special, secret performance during the week. Last week began the annual film fest, which is now getting comparisons to Sundance. Last night, for the 2nd night of the fest , we were derailed due to overcrowding. We got here earlier tonight, and were just able to watch our first show of the night, Best Coast . The only issue tonight is the weather. To rain that it is really raining hard is probably the understatement of the year! Then it is a really good thing that we are growing and have multiple other people to help us now. Every show that we wanted to attend on Friday night, the 2nd of the fest, was over capacity by the time we arrived. This happened even with our back up plan [...]
