It took a while for the Midnight Juggernauts' latest album Dystopia to really set in for me, but parts of it have since grown on me and I just can't stop listening to tracks like "Into the Galaxy" and "End of An Era." The Midnight Juggernauts track that really hit me over the head was "Shadows", mostly because of the dance-heavy rhythm and those colorful psychedelic synths. Another thing I thoroughly enjoy about the track is that bass that just thumps incredibly hard, similar to that of someone who's been raging on X for hours on end . [...]

As the opening date of the Rock the Bells tour in Chicago gets closer, the anticipation for seeing all of these spectacular artists continues to grow as well. When I found out that the new Nas album was being released the week of Rock the Bells, I was extremely excited. Aren't quite over Bloc Party yet? Well for all of the semi-Bloc Party fans out there, "Mercury" is likely to be the straw that breaks the camel's back or your back. At a first listen, I didn't even know if I was listening to Bloc Party or some phony artist who labeled his mp3 as Bloc Party (something like what happened with the Death Cab leak). But after closely listening to Kele's vocals over that breakbeat techno beat at the beginning, "Mercury" could have very well been written by any number of bands with an Arctic Monkeys or Pendulum obsession.
