TUNE-YARDS SIDE PROJECT: BEEP!

Heavy with layered piano, bass, and upbeat percussion you can hear some correlation to the tUne-yArds sound, confirmed when Merrill Garbus' voice makes a cameo at the 5-minute mark of "Wolf Pantolones."  The single is an interesting and melodic battle of noise that's well worth a listen. THE BOOKS PLAY CARNEGIE 11/13

Their latest album The Way Out is an audio masterpiece and the result of five years collecting VHS, cassettes, 8-tracks, etc alongside beautifully arranged strings and softly sung vocals. It's definitely one of the top albums of 2010. Their live show is also impressive complete with accompanying video assembled by the band.
