Yep, there is a Russian bass scene and it's fucking awesome. Up-and-comer Raumskaya out of St. Petersburg proves this, with the self-proclaimed 'juke boy' releasing his Snapshot EP a few days ago thanks to Hyperboloid Records. The label's 20th release gives remixes from Pixelord, Gillepsy and Koloah, while Raumskaya delivers four genre-skipping originals. Unlike most jukesmiths, the Russian doesn't seem to keep his tracks tethered to any one idea for too long, infusing tracks with dub and off-kilter house influences filtering through a juke trapdoor. Seems prolific hip-hop producer AraabMuzik has unfortunately suffered a gunshot in an attempted robbery. His manager posted an Instagram photo of AraabMuzik's team standing around a hospital bed. Three Swedish House Mafia fans have been brought to justice after a stabbing incident at Swedish House Mafia's concert in Milton Keynes in the UK. The remix that is set to be released on Ajax's legacy label Sweat It Out has already received some early support from Boys Noize!
