The time has come upon us New York City, ten glorious days of Björk 's Biophilia live show. The sold out New York Hall of Science residency kicks off tonight for six nights before moving to Roseland Ballroom for four nights. I will be attending Monday night and look forward to sharing my experience. After a successful jaunt of New York City (5 gigs in 5 days to be exact) in promotion of their Rough Trade debut album America Give Up , Minneapolis's Howler have launched forth into their very first headlining world tour. Gearing up for her much anticipated sophomore album, Ladyhawke has employed The Big Pink to give her latest single Black, White And Blue the remix treatment. Bad Girls was released this morning in its entirety via Pitchfork where they briefly mention the release of M.I.A. 's fourth studio album in summer 2012. Further "research" brought me to M.I.A.'s wikipedia page which included the following information: Her fourth studio album, recorded across the world with different collaborators, is due for release on Mercury Records in summer 2012. M.I.A.'s next single, "Bad Girls" taken from her Vicki Leekx mixtape, premiered on January 30, 2012, will be released globally the following day and a music video directed by [...]

M.I.A. has kept good on her word and will debut the Danja-produced track Bad Girls on Monday, January 30th at 2:30PM EST via Pitchfork. Romain Gavras once again takes directing duties for the video which will premiere via VICE's Noisey YouTube channel on Friday, February 3rd. The release of this new song will come just days before her performance with Madonna and Nicki Minaj on Superbowl Sunday, I do wonder if this means that Maya will have be performing it during the show. This afternoon Sleigh Bells released the music video for Comeback Kid , the first single from Reign of Terror , the follow up to their 2010 debut Treats . Ladyhawke is finally back with Black, White and Blue , the first official taste of Anxiety (out March 19th on Modular Records). In an interview with NME , Pip Brown aka Ladyhawke described the record as "It's lot more rocky. The tone of it is definitely darker. It's still poppy and fun, but I listened to a lot of guitar rock when I was writing it, stuff like Pixies, Blur, Nirvana and I've always wanted to make a guitar record.
