CSS & Sleigh Bells Live at Bowery Ballroom + Video In concluding the final night of their 3 sold out NYC gigs, CSS and Sleigh Bells went hard Sunday night at Bowery Ballroom. Thursday night 's show at Webster Hall was solid but the Bowery gig Sunday night seemed much more about connecting with the audience, and for Sleigh Bells the city in which they formed. Kitty Party at Wreck Room DJ Setlist 5/5/11 The night started off a bit rocky with some equipment issues but turned out pretty swell with people dancing for a solid few hours. This was my first gay night DJ gig, however being that it was in a straight dive bar in Bushwick I had to gauge and feel the crowd out as I went along to make everyone "happy" (as DJ's should.) Prior commitments caused me to miss most of CSS 's set (I did get to see Alala and Let's Make Love and Listen to Death from Above though) but I anticipate seeing the full show this Sunday for the final NYC gig at Bowery Ballroom. The Kills and Cold Cave Live at Terminal 5 + Video Last Friday The Kills headlined Terminal 5 and brought along my favorite darkwavers Cold Cave . Both bands have recently released two finely crafted records ( Blood Pressures and Cherish the Light Years ) and pulled in an interesting sold out crowd (which brilliantly included a couple celebrating the Royal Wedding in Kate and William masks), it almost had a festival-esque vibe! Cold Cave's set was sadly quite short and for some reason Jennifer Clavin did not perform with the band, hence Life Magazine 's omission from the set. [...]
