Sigur Ros' new album Kveikur comes out June 18 via XL Recordings . They previously shared with us a new song called “Brennisteinn” , and now they shared another track: "Ísjaki." They share the track via a lyric video that actively lets you try and decipher what it is that they are saying. It's a tempered beauty of the track both open and mysterious enough in only ways that Sigur Ros could convey. Listen below.

In addition to Lana Del Rey and Florence + The Machine , we now get to hear The xx's new song contribution to the soundtrack for The Great Gatsby . It has some slick production and features a sleepy mood setting vibe, with cinematic strings and all. They pulled out all the stops for this one. We can expect to hear this during an important scene during the film's climax, one would think. Take a listen below.

Mac DeMarco covered the classic Weezer staple "Undone (The Sweater Song)" for AV Club's Undercover Club . The band choose it because it was the easiest/chillest song that they could learn while traveling in the van for 2 1/2 hours. Wild Nothing , fresh after releasing Nocturne - one of my favorite albums of 2012 - are back with a brand new EP: Empty Estate , which Captured Tracks will release on May 14. It's a 7-song EP that they recorded in Brooklyn this January. "A Dancing Shell" is the 802s inspired slow-paced synth-jam that is heavy on the cool nostalgia tinted funk. Take a listen below.

Two Door Cinema Club's oddball video for "Handshake" will definitely be one of the weirdest videos of the year. It features the bands heads as bowling balls. Good luck figuring out the meaning of this one. Definitely an interesting watch at least.

Young Galaxy's "Pretty Boy" has been slightly overlooked, as it's one of the better songs to come out so far this year. They've released a video for it directed by Luke McCutcheon that shows a unique love between two very different people. Reminds me a bit of this classic . Enjoy it below.

At the end of 2012 Londoners SPLASHH caught my attention with their fantastic debut single, "All I Wanna Do." Now they have unvealed their plans for debut album Comfort which is coming out via Kanine on June 4th. They re-recorded the single, and have released another video to prepare for the release of the album. It's a good one. Thee Oh Sees' music video for "Toe Cutter - Thumb Buster" features the consequences that occur after a serial killer is spotted committing the deeds. It's a dark video, but definitely an interesting one.

The biggest gems can often come from little places, where you would never expect. Take a journey to a cramped room all the way in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia where an elderly man, Pak Ibrahim is doing a cover of the Righteous Brothers' timeless classic "Unchained Melody." He delivers a perfect performance of the song, that is delivered with all the years of life that he has seen over his time. Janelle Monáe returns with a new song named "Q.U.E.E.N." which features Erykah Badu. It's the first song to be released from her new album The Electric Lady . Between the title and the duo of Janelle & Erykah, it's apparent that this is an funky lady-anthem that is quite easy to enjoy.

It was weird enough to see that RZA was featured on "Take A Fall For Me" , a song from James Blake's new album Overgrown. It's even weirder to see that RZA joined James Blake during his live performance at Coachella over the weekend. RZA made things even more weird by bringing a girl on stage and rapping his verses to her. It was slightly strange and definitely a little awkward. Watch the performance below.

MGMT could have just sold out if they wanted to. They could have quickly churned out a bunch of imitations of "Kids", attach them to a few commercial and movie trailers, and counted their riches. But with 2nd album Congratulations, MGMT decided to stay true to their musical influences, and keep pushing the boundaries, even if that meant alienating many of those counting on them to pump out a bunch of pop-ready hits. But he does just this under the moniker Edgar The Beatmaker. It's him, and he has a surrounding cast of friends that seemed to have joined him on the project, as there are more than one voices taking part in the songs. It's been a while since we've heard from Wiseblood , the project of a Pittsburgh artist who will only share his first name: Chris. In 2011 he released a great EP but seemingly disappeared right after. He has returned with a new song called "Rat" and the announcement that he has a debut album on the way. High Violet are a new quartet coming from Liverpool, UK. They are one of the rare bands that contacts me through twitter, and are actually of substantial quality. Their song "Wheels" is as immediate as immediate can be. Strong vocals suite a track that is well paced and takes it's time to gradually build itself. It's a smokey ballad that would be an ideal fit for a few pints in a secluded bar late at night. Tucked away, the song does its best to take your troubles and transform them into a fitting musical identity. [...]

London all female-punk quartet Savages have released another song from their debut album, Silence Yourself . Previously they shared "She Will" , and now they give us the album's lead off track, "Shut Up." "Shut Up" ominously opens with the statement that graces the album cover spoken by lead-signer Jenny Beth. The song then kicks into a dirty groove that solidifies these ladies as the future leaders of the British post-punk scene. It comes with a new video that shows the band playing live, directed by Giorgio Testi . Enjoy below.
