Hot off the proverbial presses is another remix from our friend and yours, Pocketknife of Flagrant Fowl. I just received this 7 minute track in our email and I am pleased to say it is a good time. This was originally submitted to Adele to use with her single, "Hometown Glory," but alas it never got to accompany the single. So Pocketknife has been gracious enough to release it for all of us to enjoy. Now this isn't a dance number or anything, but it is fantastic nonetheless. Enjoy [...]
Look what the fuck Europe is doing? Harnessing the power of the dance community to power their clubs and streets... Original Article Full promotional video here -Manley, Himself
Not really a theme day or event we have going here on PM, but this video I saw yesterday merits such a title. Hot Pink DeLorean - Badonkadonk I feel I should apologize for posts from me slightly lacking over the past few days, I just haven't been excited about a lot of things I heard this past week or so. But this weekend/early next week I should [...]

Well since we have been spending quite of bit of time with each other over these past few months, I thought it was about time to share some things about myself... 1. I am a comic nerd . Little insight into Manley, I got into photography when I was in elementary school due to my compulsion towards and unflinching conviction that one day I would be Spider-Man. I would be a liar if I said that I don't still see myself as an alternate Earth Peter Parker/Spider-Man awaiting for his destiny to just catch up with him. [...]

So a few days ago, I saw some bulletins on the myspaces announcing a new remix from one of my personal favorites, Bird Peterson of Austin Texas. The new track in question was a remix of Busta Rhymes' latest single, "Don't Touch Me." "The Godfather of the Club Banger" himself, Busta has succeed in making himself one fine banger, in which Bird decided to turn into a disgusting mess of awesome. Thanks to Palms Out for getting this track and feeding it to all of us... Like the Mama bird of internet [...]

So straight from the horses' mouth, we've received a brand new Designer Drugs remix. This time Philly DnB MC, Messinian , has been the subject of DD's tweaking and twerking... DD took the song "Throw it Away" and turning it into a thump bump piece. It's hard electro beats and rythmic claps will get your people on the floor, most definitely. I'm throwing this into my set on Saturday, I have confidence it will be a sweaty smash. [...]

Being in Gainesville this Saturday night would be a phenomenal idea, as PM's own DJ Mannes will be mixing for us at Neon Liger with resident selector Thrashë. Chances are that if you're reading this blog and have been in Florida for any amount of time you've seen Mannes' party-starting abilities, but I think how awesome his sets typically are cannot be overstated. Gainesville will bring out the animal in him, and that animal is likely to molest your conscience and you'll probably end up with some nice memories the next morning. Or no [...]

I know this is is primarily a dance music blog, but fuck it, diversify your tastes people. Hip-Hop savior Nas has been causing a stir lately with the release of his upcoming album, due to hit streets on the 15th of July. Nas lastest outing began to receive notice when the title of the project was leaked some time ago. Formerly titled Nigger , Nas decided to change the name to simply Untitled after being alledgedly leaned on by various pressures and powers that be that began to unfavor the notice it was receiving. [...]
I can't wait for this movie to come out, I saw a trailer a few months ago and I have been eager ever since. Truth be known, I don't know much about the movie besides that it stars Ben Kingsley and some dude from a Nickelodeon program, Mary-Kate Olsen is in it a makes out with Kingsley, it is a dark coming-of-age tale set within NYC in 1994, and that Method Man is in it somewhere as well... Sold! Well, I have heard some things, mainly that it isn't as lighthearted as the trailers make it out to be but [...]

Hi kids, I do hope you are familiar with the Family Affair party tonight. If you were, you'd probably know that Little Foot and PM's own DJ Mannes will be mixing for you. Of course, you'd know that it's held at the Beta Bar , a place where magnificent things are promised to happen. Perhaps you might even know that draft beer is free until midnight . This is paramount. Though I have a feeling you might know about this already [...]
Too hungover for an actual post this second, needless to say Miami Horror last night in Gainesville was a great time. Way to be Australia. Till I compile myself enough to form real sentences, here's an awesome video from the internetz. -Manley, Himself

So Australian Party Music, or as I will now call it "APM," is hitting Florida pretty hard - Miami Horror and Gameboy/Gamegirl (a DJ and dance act from Melbourne Austraila, both wtih interchangible members) are coming to various places around our fair state during the next month. On July 4th, Pulp in Tampa will host MH and GB/GG, then Crush in Orlando on the 30th and Neon Liger in Gainesville will be having them tonight, July 2nd. James and myself are attending the show tonight at Neon Liger, [...]

I have been rockin' this for a few days... Me likey... Thanks Pase Rock Pase Rock - Get Money Kids (zshare) "Look at what they did.." -Manley, Himself
I had a long and laborious day at work, and the following several things made me feel a lot better. How was your day at work? Class? Would you rather have dragged your genitals through five miles of gravel than endure your compound hangover there? Perhaps the things below will lift your spirits. Are you familiar with the Play Collective ? Neither am I. Their website is lacking content at the moment, but I'm very assured that I'll keep my eyes and ears perked for their rustling after seeing these showreels by their bretheren, Bisou GTI [...]

So this chap from London has been one of my favorite computer DJs in the past year or so, a man by the name of Boy 8-Bit. Odds are you have been listening to Mr. 8-bit for sometime now, but for anyone that may have not heard of this rising star, here's some info. Based of of London, Boy 8-Bit was hailed by Diplo as "the most unique sounding club music out right now." Signed to the Mad Decent label some months afterwards, he just dropped an 4 track EP entitled, The Suspense is Killing Me - A [...]

Ok, so before Girl Talk blew up the fuck up, before Night Ripper became an instant classic, and way before Feed the Animals , Greg Gillis came out and opened for Man Man during the V89 WVFS Tallahassee 19th Brithday Bash on 10/16/06. That's right, 2006, before he was headlining every show he played, Girl Talk rocked our college radio station party... Greg Gillis came to our radio station about 4 hours before his performance and gave us all in Tallahassee a taste of what was to be heard. [...]
Like a wacky sitcom that just gets wacky, here's another sound-byte gem from our friends at Fox News: My, how insightful Fox. Yes, those two names do share similar sounds, I can see how you would get them confused... Good thing you also tried to explain your mistake by adding the part about "knocking off" them "both, if we could." Yes, Fox tell us how you really feel... Again, the Orange Terror Threat Level posed by black people existing in America is something we all should be concerned about. [...]

Last night I put composed a mix to honor the Motherland. These are some of my favorite Scandinavian (and Icelandic) groups (not including darkthrone, emperor, and scores of other black metal, and neo-world-fusion-fruitcake groups who wouldn't fit in) Tracklist: Familjen- Feber (Krazy Fiesta remix) Nenah Cherry Vs Original Sinners- Buffalo Stance (white label) Sally Shapiro- I'll be by your side (Kid 66 808 Remix) Erlend Oye- Sudden Rush (Twelves Remix) Sigur Ros- Seglopur (mmmathias remix) Bjork- Wanderlust (ratatat remix) The Cardigans- Lovefool (gaspar remix) Datarock- Fafafa (miami horror remix) Royksopp- What else [...]

So this collection of awesome has been out for sometime, since the end of last year I believe, so just about 6 months... but that does not take away from its divine qualities in the least. This my dears, is the Indie remix album from the DJ collaboration of Cousin Cole and Pocketknife aka "Flagrant Fowl." The reason for this post is that I don't think this release from two of the hottest remix weavers out there, has gotten its due time in the sun. So here it is, Tambourine Dream from Flagrant Fowl. I got this [...]
