These two new remix's of Phoenix's hit track Lisztomania have blown me away... Absolutely loving the Alex Metric remix right now and can't wait to catch them live in August. Their new album just hit the music stores (aswell as iTunes) and you can snatch up some tickets to see them live as of tomorrow at noon through TICKETEK (got to sign up to ticketek online for pre-release) Phoenix - Lisztomania (Alex Metric Remix) Phoenix - Lisztomania (Yuksek Remix)

I found this the other day on Deckhead who found this on Asian Dan but really doesn't matter where I found it cause its freakin awesome. Para One has remade some classic classical pieces into some electro BANGERZ!!! Well not quite but he has re written some classic pieces with the electronic/software assortment. I really only have one word for both these songs, and that word is EPIC!! Read over at Asian Dan for the background on both these pieces.. Para One - Passion Para One - [...]

Here are some tracks that I've been digging hard lately. The Private - My Secret Lover (Lifelike Remix) The Virgins - Rich Girls (Le Castle Vania Remix) A-Ha - Take On Me (The Twelves Remix)

To post these tracks ages ago but it just never happened... Any how. First up, is a track called Machine by Death+Taxes which is really dark with a strong rock influence. It reminds me of something to power on through a dark late night drive. Death+Taxes - Machine This next track is from a Normal 0 false false false EN-AU X-NONE [...]

photo by Andrew Dains I've had this track for nearly two years now, and yet I think I heard it for the first time the other day whilst my itunes was on shuffle. I don't know how I ever skimmed passed it. Bloody brilliant and super bouncy. Although I'd love to find a 320kbps version of It, I think the only place you can buy it is from Juno on vinyl . Herve - (I Can) Get Down

I've praised this group once previously. Spook has done the same with the Fred Faulke remix of Golden Cage. I just can't stop listening to this track, or indeed the new album 'Rules'. It just grooves. Do yourself a favour and buy it. Happy Thursday The Whitest Boy Alive - Island

So I may have got a little excited with that opening, but when possibly two of my favourite bands are playing in Wollongong, at my spiritual clubbing birthplace (yes, i was a long haired grom once who frequented that den of Top 40 hedonism every weekend for $1 drinks and the chance to grind on the dancefloor), I tend to get excited. Ratatat. Tame Impala. The Vines DJ's. Fait Accompli. Young & Restless plus more. Waves. Thursday May 7. It's a pretty epic lineup, and a big coup getting NY Hipster's Ratatat down the F6 [...]

I know how much you guys loved the last CCC track I put up so I've got for you another. This one is off their forthcoming EP 'Apocalypse' which will be out on the 7th of April on Beatport. Lap it up Chewy Chocolate Cookies - It Was Only A Kiss PS I've been real busy lately, expect some more posts in the next couple of days.

...with ableton and a little spare time. I stumbled across this mix (thanks to the crew over at http://knicken.blogspot.com), and it's so on the money. So we have The Whitest Boy Alive vs Mylo vs Cut Copy. I don't have an idea who Andy Webb is, but i like his thinking. Otto's Golden Journey (Andy Webb's Dreamy Blend)

I've been a small fan of Berlin based The Whitest Boy Alive since they stole the show at last years Nevereverland, and have been waiting waiting patiently for their second release, Rules, ever since. But for those of you who don't know, The Norwegian vocalist of TWBA, Erland Oye, has his fingers in many pies. He is the co vocalist of Norwegian folk duo, Kings Of Convenience, and was the vocalist behind the huge Royksopp track Remind Me. Kid can remix as well. And he's an accomplished solo artist. The geek shall definitely inherit the [...]

Last week i finally had the opportunity to see an australian artist who i've admired for some time. I first heard Sia through her collaborations with downtempo kings Zero 7, then through the Adelaide born, UK based artists second solo album 'Colour The Small One'. Wth 4 albums and two ep's under her belt, countless appearances on compilations and her tracks being used on television in the US, it might be time Sia starts to get the recognition she rightfully deserves in Australia as one of our most talented exports. Sia - Buttons (CSS Remix) [...]

So I'll be floating around a certain music awards as of tomorrow, and thought it might be fun for shits and giggles to cover all the gossip scandals and stories with twitter... because apparently it's the latest thing all the cool kids are doing. So it's simple, if you have a twitter account you can follow me around for a couple of days. Click below And see what what I get up to... or don't. But it will be fun, I promise
Swiss producer DVM has came up with the goods here... It's so simple yet so beautiful and doesn't take away from the original, it just gives her vocals more room to shine. Imogen Heap - Hide and Seek (DVW Spring Remix)

I've been a huge fan of Feist since the early Monarch days... It can be said she amassed a bigger following (and chart recognition) after her single 1 2 3 4 was licensed to Apple for their worldwide iPod nano adverts, but realistically it was well deserved. After releasing her debut album Monarch (Lay Down your Jewelled Head) in 1999, she went on to form indie darlings Broken Social Scene with Brandon Canning and Kevin Drew in 1991, released Let it Die in 2004, and The Reminder in 2007. I've thrown together a couple [...]

I'm going to start something new today, being Thursday. Most people start something new on a Monday, or on a Friday. Not me, I like Thursdays. So here it is. Every Thursday, im going to post a few remixes of my favourite artists. They may be old, they me be new. You may find them amazing, or terrible. It's not the point, i just want to hear them in one place so it seems a logical choice. Today... Tracey Thorn. Ex Everything But The Girl frontwoman. Accomplished solo artist in her own right. And the owner [...]

Continuing where Nate left off, with his saga of Swedish post, here's yet another. If you love the likes of Fred Falke, Alan Braxe and all that filter house crew then I guarantee that Fredrick Carlsson should be added to your music repertoire. If you swing by his MYSPACE you can download his new EP for free (320kbps) . Here's a sample track off the EP and two sweet remixes. Fredrick Carlsson - [...]
I hadn't heard of French duo, The Do (pronounced Doe, after the musical note), until today (Thanks Jess)... Bit of a shame really because i've instantly become a fan. They will be out for The V Festival, and supporting M83 at their Metro sideshow in Sydney. Their debut album, A Mouthful, is out now. Myspace The Do - On My Shoulders The Do - Tammie Share/Save

The Young Hearts are an up and coming band from the South Coast of NSW. A year or so ago they recorded a two track demo with two amazing tracks. They are currently working on their debut EP which from what I've heard so far is sounding very rad. You can visit their MYSPACE and check out the other track from their demo... And while your their send them some love and tell them to hurry up with the EP cause I can't wait. Last year Underage Girls did an awesome remix of 'We Were Born [...]
