It's hard not to get addicted to the 502s/602s hooks that Hunx & his Punx  are dropping - the John Waters -esque video suits it very well indeed. Directed by Hannah Lew of Grass Widow.

Based on the classic viral tapes of Raymond & Peter  this documentary boasts a graphic novel cast that includes Daniel Clowes, Ivan Brunetti & more - I'm really looking forward to this one. I'm digging this new Four Tet track, although the whole Fabriclive series is often hit or miss (I recall a bit of a phoned-in Spank Rock installment) . Let's see if the whole LP holds up, due in October. Locked (TEXT011) by Four Tet Four Tet – “Locked” - Stereogum .

New music from a DC band that sounds pretty strong (think  Preston School of Industry  with balls) and is free at the moment - nice artwork as well from a great designer pal John Foster . The band will be appearing at Black Cat on Mon Aug 8 with Plums & the Mean Ideas ( Facebook Event ) mittenfields  EP at bandcamp.

I hadn't heard of the site Network Awesome until today but it seems that all week they are playing Volumes of Matthew Barney's The Cremaster Cycle, which is often hard to come by/screen when not frequenting a museum or festival.

I missed this show at Subterranean A last night but my pal Gavin caught some dance-y footage of Teengirl Fantasy.

Wow, I Watch Stuff is reporting that Bob Odenkirk and David Cross have signed on for a new HBO sitcom, which really blows my mind. I feel as though Mr. Show was a momentous program in comedy, one that continues to go overlooked as a groundbreaker for many lesser current shows.
