There was a time when music videos were like little movies. Though they've fallen by the wayside to more artistic ones, Rene Lopez is trying to bring back the old school style by channeling Rocky for "Shing-A-Ling Is What I Bring." Check it out above. Rene Lopez Tour Dates: 02/09 - New York, NY @ Nublu 02/16 - New York, NY @ Nublu 02/23 - New York, NY @ Nublu 02/28 - New York, NY @ Arlene's Grocery
High Places have always had good music, but a less-than-stellar live show. It just wasn't all that interesting. So do they manage to escape from that stigma with their video for "The Pull?" Well, not exactly, but at least it's more compelling than their live show. Check it out above. High Places tour dates: Feb 13 - Brighton, UK - The Green Door Store Feb 14 - Liverpool, UK - The Shipping Forecast Feb 15 - [...]

Recommended Show: THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2012 SNOWDEN @ MERCURY LOUNGE 217 E Houston St New York, NY 10002 $10, 9:30PM How many years ago did I see Snowden at the now defunct Siberia Bar? It's hard to say, but it was the band's first visit to the City--and it was ages ago. They've had some pretty big gigs since then (I remember when they opened for Kings of Leon a few years later). Tonight, they headline a show at the Mercury Lounge. [...]

It's hard to object to a new video from OK Go . The new video for "Needing/Getting" is another amazing piece for the band. They have taken things from choreography in the backyard to something else entirely. Watch them drive through their song (literally) above.

Our Lady Peace was one of our guilty pleasures of the 90s. However, after a few good albums, the band took a turn for mainstream mediocrity. It's possible that their upcoming album Curve will turn them around to back to greatness. The new record arrives in stores on April 3. In support of the record, the band will head out for several weeks of touring. They'll play at New York City's Bowery Ballroom on April 5. Our Lady Peace tour dates: March 29th - London, ON - Concert [...]

We're also excited for Sharon Van Etten 's Jagjaguwar debut. in addition, Owl City has got a DVD, and Goldfrapp [...]
Zambri 's debut album comes out on Kanine Records in April. The amazing female-fronted act was a truly pleasant surprise at this year's CMJ, so we're excited for the record. "ICBYS" is a song from the album, and you can view the video for it above.
The details surrounding M.I.A. 's upcoming fourth studio album are still few and far between, but we've been lucky enough to hear a few hints and clues. "Bad Girls" is the latest we get the hear from it. The video is above.

Quintron and Miss Pussycat 's last tour was pretty short, and it left us wanting them to take a longer trek (or at least one that stopped by New York City), and this time around we get two shows in the City.
