Garbage comes back with a new video

The teenager inside of me will probably always enjoy Garbage . I've got to admit a bit of anticipation for their new album Not Your Kind Of People , which will be released on May 15 and provide the first new output from the band since 2005's Bleed Like Me . The first taste from the album is a track called "Blood for Poppies;" the video is above.

New releases for the week of April 3, 2012

New releases for the week of April 3, 2012 There were some great releases that we weren't able to talk about last week, but now's not the time to be looking back to what we missed! We've got info on plenty of the latest to discuss! 90s rockers Our Lady Peace return with a new album, Guided by Voices frontman Robert Pollard puts out a solo record, and quiet indie faves Au return with a new one. However, if we've got to pick a favorite (as we often do), it's Screaming Females ' Ugly (pictured). We also need [...]

Theresa Andersson has a party

Theresa Andersson - "Hold On To Me" (Official Music Video HD)
Theresa Andersson 's first album (and the most memorable video for a song from the record) featured her amazing ability to use looping pedals to create a full sound. With her sophomore release coming out later this month, she needed to step it up, so her new video for "Hold on to Me" does just that with a wild Mardi Gras-esque party. Check it out above. Theresa Andersson tour dates: 4/9 - New Orleans, LA @ The Joy Theatre 4/14 - Mobile, AL @ Callaghan's Irish Social Club [...]

Kasper Bjørke is a Fool

Kasper Bjørke: Lose Yourself to Jenny (with Jacob Bellens) (official music video)
Releasing an album on April Fool's Day may not always be the best idea. We honestly weren't sure if Kasper Bjørke was serious about his album Fool or not (which, yes, was released on Sunday). But it's the day after, and it doesn't seem like a joke, especially with a new video for"Lose Yourself to Jenny."

Gavin DeGraw gets "Sweeter"

Gavin DeGraw - Sweeter
That might just be Brooklyn in Gavin DeGraw 's new video for "Sweeter." In fact, we're pretty sure that's Williamsburg just by the JMZ train. DeGraw may not be what people think of when they imagine a Brooklyn hipster, but he seems to be embracing it.

New releases for the week of March 20, 2012

New releases for the week of March 20, 2012 With The Hunger Games movie out this week, it makes sense that the soundtrack (pictured) precedes it by just a few days. We don't know who green lit Lenny Kravitz acting in the film, but be glad he was left off the soundtrack. Elsewhere in cross-media celebrity news, the not-quite American Idol Adam Lambert and reality-show star Diggy Simmons celebrate new releases this week as well. Esperanza Spalding hopes to follow up her Best New Artist success with Radio Music Society , Battles drop their [...]

Slow Club present a slide show

Slow Club - The Dog
The concept behind Slow Club 's "The Dog" seems simple enough. The band's silhouettes are placed in front of a slide show. It actually manages to work quite well. I'm sure many may have missed this one last week during SXSW, so we're posting it above for you all to check it out.
