Arcade Fire perform "Ready To Start" and "Month of May" Last night on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart , Arcade Fire showcased two new songs off The Suburbs , which also happens to be the number one record in the country. The first song is my personal favorite of the LP, "Ready To Start," and the show was ended with "Month of May," which I think sounds much better heard here live. It's also fun to see just how short Stewart is compared [...]
Local Natives and Yours Truly Fight Crime While Rocking Out The Local Natives performed a few songs live for Yours Truly , but before the band could break into the lovely chorus of "Airplanes," the song was interrupted by a near-by mugging. In the first minute of the video above, you can see the mugger run by with a lady's purse in hand. What the criminal didn't count on was the quick legs of a fellow Yours Truly dude, who apprehended the assailant and reclaimed the lady's stolen [...]
Spoon on Fallon A few nights ago, Spoon was the musical guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon . The band performed the groove-laden "Nobody Gets Me But You," and they enlisted the help of Roots drummer ?uestlove and bassist Owen Biddle. Check it out before they take the video down. In my opinion, this song kicks so much more ass live than it does on Transference .

Seattle Loves the Toadies Seattle has time and again shown their appreciation towards Austin's very own Toadies . It's this affection, expressed in fist pumps and hollers, that creates the perfect environment for an all-around good show. Wednesday night's concert was no exception. From the moment the Toadies took the stage at the Showbox, an eruption of elation occurred. You have to understand, for hardcore Toadies fans, the idea of a Feeler tour equates to the same emotions brought on by Brian Wilson's SMiLE [...]

![[review] Wolf Parde @ Showbox (7-26-2010)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/2713085_lg.jpg)
Wolf Parade delivers the "Royal Mix" Last night Wolf Parade treated Seattleites with another fantastic show at the Showbox. To give a little historical significance, my first Wolf Parade "live experience" occurred at the Showbox in August of '06 - WP had just released Apologies to the Queen Mary and were touring with Frog Eyes and Whale Bones on the "Spiritual Animal Tour." During that show, I remember feeling that WP was on the verge of something big. It would take a few years of insane touring and [...]

It's been a great ride, thanks for taking us along... Well, for those of you who've been following the Handsome Furs ' CNN mini-documentary, it has finally come to the end. Capturing the adventures of two happy newlyweds whose passion for music and world travel took them to wonderful new places, Handsome Furs: Indie Asia was a really fun look into one of my favorite bands. To see a "greatest hits" video compilation, watch Episode 8: "Best Of" above. As for the future of this band, according to [...]

The band plans to enter the studio this summer with Seattle producer Randall Dunn, the man behind the boards with bands like Sunn O))), Boris, and Black Mountain. With the help of Dunn, they hope to create a record more akin to The Cave Singers' incredible live shows . The recording session will manifest itself with a Jagjaguwar debut LP early next year. "Everything's more [...]
![[news] White Denim Update - New Song, LP in the Works](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/2660896_lg.jpg)
White Denim tracking new album! Earlier this year, White Denim returned to the studios to record a follow-up album to last year's amazing Fits . According to their website (as of today), the band has the basic tracking complete. While the album is probably far from being finished and on shelves, it's nice to see new jams have been recorded. And for those of you who'd like to get your ears on a new WD song, the band has contributed "Yo-Yo" to the [...]

The artfully strange Charlie White -directed video features what appears to be pheromone harvesting from a vitamin D-deficient Matrix extra. Check it out. Also, expect more dates to pop up as July approaches - [...]
After 12 Years, Feeler Gets Proper Release For the long-time readers who have followed Three Colours from the very beginning , you're probably aware of my in-your-face love affair with the Toadies . No matter what you think, the band's debut LP Rubberneck still ranks in my top 10 albums of all time. With that said, I want to share a little history lesson for those not so infatuated with these Texas rockers: A long time ago (1994 to be precise), [...]
