oOoOO , the darkwave/witch house/chillwave/whatever-you-w anna-call-it project of Chris Dexter Greenspan, has just dropped a new track, "CoachBagg." It's the afternoon before her San Francisco band's namesake holiday, April Fool's Day, and Rupa Marya is taking a lunch break from preparations for Rupa and the April Fishes ' upcoming bicycle concert tour. Glass Walls by Mist Giant "D-Loop" is a winding, layered six-and-a-half minute jam from SF's Mist Giant , off the band's second EP, Glass Walls . The EP is out now on Velvet Blue Music , and Mist Giant will be participating in the Music Video Race to shoot a video for "D-Loop" in May. According to Exray's ' Facebook page, the band's new album is mixed and mastered, and Echolocale recently caught them performing the new song "You Can Trust A Robot" live in the studio of sculptor Cedric Wentworth. As we announced here , Jon Porras ' solo album Black Mesa will be available April 17 through Thrill Jockey records . The eight and a half minute video (filmed by Porras himself) provides a retro, black and white film accompaniment to the drawling post-rock guitar of "Into Midnight." When the song picks up half-way through, the video begins follows a cloaked man — named the "Desert Spectre" — as he wanders through rolling hills, a worthy visual metaphor for the song's rise-and-fall delay effects. Squeeze by PreTeen SF's PreTeen has released a new cassette EP, collecting eleven lo-fi pop songs from one of our favorite emerging indie pop bands. Doseone - "Last Life" One of Anticon's multi-operational co-founders, Doseone , finds time in between 13 & Gold, Themselves, Subtle, and other projects to release a solo album next month. G Is For Deep comes out May 29 on Anticon, of course, and the first glimpse of it premiered last week on Stereogum in "Last Life."
