I don't really know how to feel about these sponsored tracks. On one hand it's great; we get new tracks, the artists get some of the money they would have lost otherwise with people downloading through p2p's and that should be great. But I don't really like the aspect of having a track that is equally Cool Kids and Mountain Dew. I like music and I like the Cool Kids, but I don't like the thought of supporting Mountain Dew when all I want to do is support the Cool Kids. Am I completely wrong here? Feel free to contribute [...]
This is quite a nice Saturday mix from Flosstradamus for the people at Mad Decent. The mix is matches various kinds of Chicago house and the result is hard hitting and well mixed. I don't really have much else to say about this mix other than it rocked my socks off and keeps a high level of quality throughout. Flosstradamus Mix for Mad Decent Flosstradamus rocks Myspace, and the tracklis is on Mad Decent
Although not everyone around are amazed by the Crystal Castles album released earlier this year, it is still one of my faves of the year so far. But to be honest, I've always thought that their remixes were far better than their original track. I've spent many hours on the internet trying to dig them all up, and trust me, they're worth it. Everything they've done has been of superior quality and always with a nice mix of the rave sounds and the more cold electrosounds. Therefore I am proud to help you to a brand new Crystal Castles remix [...]
I must admit that the name Hervé was new to me until very recently, when I started digging through some of his remixes. They were alright, no remarks there, but they didn't give me that special something that I usually get from the ultra-amazing ones gives me. Don't get me wrong, they were good, but they weren't mind-blowing. This track is though. When you're in need of something special, a nice collaboration might make your way to the top a little faster. Especially if you choose to work with artists of exceptional quality, and that seems to be the strategy [...]
I love Soulwax. I really really love Soulwax. I was already looking forward to the Part of The Weekend Never Dies documentary when this little beauty dropped today. A remix of Chemical Brother's classic Hey Boy Hey Girl now louder, heavier and much more intense. Of course the track builds to an epic climax that reminds me of everything I love about Soulwax. Thanks to Asian Dan for this one. Chemical Brothers - Hey Boy Hey Girl (Soulwax Remix) Love it on Myspace too: Soulwax & Chemical [...]
