We got another one, folks. Fly Boy Radio presents: Dom, Curren$y, and J. Ferb tonight at Coco Cabana in Hyattsville. TONIGHT, I said! 5.6.10. Doors open at 9pm, and it's $20 to make it all happen. Dress to impress (whatever that means, right? Sheesh.), and just come out and have a good time with all of us. You coming? I hope so. Buy tickets here , and when you get there, tweet me (@DCtoBC) to tell me you're in the building. I'll come find you and dap you up. Not that that is anything exciting, but it's [...]

It just sounds epic, you know? Hustlepalooza, hosted by Chicago's very own Hustle Simmons and DC's Dre the Mayor of 368 Music Group. It's on Wednesday, May 5 (Cinco De Mayo), and is a hip-hop fanatic's dream come true. Headlined by Dom Kennedy, whose bars you've probably seen me tweet (or if you know me, heard me recite over and over). My brother Phil Ade will also be rocking the stage, as will K-Beta , Gordo Brega , Greenspan , XO , and other area artists. [...]

A trill web designer/coder. I swear, I've found the best on the internet, but for some reason, things just don't work out. From scheduling conflicts to conniving bastards trying to hit me with the okeydoke, I just keep getting rocked. The guy I really want to do the honors is an incredibly busy man, and understandably so. I would put his twitter screen name here to have everybody hit him with an @[InsertNameHere] and persuade him to help me out, but I'd much rather him agree on it all on his own terms. [...]
Nostalgic from my Boston College days, I decided to throw up a video that me and my right hand man Ricardo created the day before we graduated. Exams had us stressed out, so we had to just let loose real quick. Notice how I had a beard, by the way. This is pretty much how every day of school was for us, though. Let's get it. Enjoy the rest of the weekend, folks.

TheGeePee.com . Indulge. Bookmark it. Tell your friends and stuff. Follow the movement on Twitter Nation . Join the Facebook Fan Page . And just anticipate it. Soon, this site will be no more, and The Great Progression will be among us. Sike. I don't even talk like that. But really, the site should be done shortly. I had to do a few much needed shifts in terms of people behind the scenes, but everything is coming together smoother than a baby's bottom. I told you, [...]

Everything came out epic, as you can see. Huge shouts out to Kerri and Chris from CtotheJL.com for making this happen, as well as my Madbury Club bruv Phil for linking me with a guy who was so busy, I thought he was giving me the cold shouler. After I met the man, I understand why Chris is so hard to reach; he's honestly one of the hardest people I've met in my journey to achieving whatever it is I'll end up [...]

From 12 pm to 6pm on Friday, March 19th, DC to BC and The Great Progression , along with several other fine organizations, will be hosting Quality! , a South By Southwest showcase in Austin, TX. How did this all happen? If you're interested, you better read on. Several years ago, probably in either late high school or early college, I was put on to a remarkable boutique music blog by the name of Blind I For [...]
note: it's the week of the re-up. new readers love it, old readers loathe it, and i'm just tryna get my blog respect back. i put this in "hall of fame post" categories, and i'm looking for more to add to this section. let's get it. shy guys typically have visions of grandeur, but most times things just don't work out in the end. keep living vicariously through those music videos, like this one. that's what the shy guy wants the club to be [...]

Clearly, that's me. not in 5th grade though. More like when i was a toddler. but that's not the point. The point is, puppy love is something serious. Around valentine's day, I got an email from an old friend. Her name? Christina Vittas . She was my first official girlfriend from back in 5th grade, and the e-mail was titled "5th grade love letters". I already knew what was inside. First thing's first. Jam this while you read. I need everybody to realize [...]

note: Re-Up! Tryna get some new readers while appeasing the old ones with a throwback joint that people appreciated. Ha. you know exactly who that girl above is. sure, you don't know her by name or anything like that. but you know the role she plays. she's one of the two dimes in the subway ride home. like, cheat-on-your-girl, must-have dimes . i'm talking like spend-your-entire-paycheck-on- a-date type dime . it may sound intense, but i'm just being real. i'm a man, so i know how men think. even if they [...]

I know this is borderline abusing my privileges as the owner of this site. but i just re-subscribed to NetFlix after grabbing this PlayStation3, and I'm itching to put 10 solid movies that I can abuse on the MacBook and the new Vizio during my downtime. If you'd be so kind, just leave suggestions and brief synopses of movies (if they aren't typical joints that everybody and their grandma's heard of). Everybody can add something to this list, so just throw the suggestions out there. Maybe we'll have a nice little dialogue pertaining to movies and such. Ha. [...]

Brought to you by the geniuses over at Holy Taco . In other news, I'm still working on The Great Progression . It's all in the designer's hands now, because my work is basically complete. Stay up to date with the movement via Twitter: @TheGeePee. Oh, and me too ( @DCtoBC ). I know I always say it, but thanks for the support. Thanks for all you guys who grabbed the S.A.D. #2 as well; we did over 2,000 downloads total, and with no real promotional push besides some vicious word of mouth and [...]
![Singles Awareness Day 2 [S.A.D. #2: The Mix Compilation].](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/2331920_lg.jpg)
It's here. Dedicated to all maneaters, heartbreakers, and hopeless romantics - you know who you are. Proceed to download. It's an epic one, I think. I appreciate all the support greatly. Like the last one, there's no playlist. 38 songs, all different artists, and all in the theme of the mixtape's title in some way, shape, or form. All feedback is appreciated, and if it's really in depth or you'd rather it not be in the comment section or something, send me an e-mail: modi[at]DCtoBC[dot]com. [...]

Yeah. So don't give up on me just yet. The movement is still in motion, and things are going on behind the scenes! @TheGeePee ! Don't forget about it. Just follow that account on Twitter, as well as myself ( @DCtoBC ), and you'll be in the loop. Don't think you're too cool to do so, either. It's the easiest way to stay informed. Ha. I make it sound like I'm doing something important! Regardless, I appreciate you if you fuck with it all. Surprises are in store. Besides, I didn't come to New York City for nothing. [...]

If you haven't already guessed from the blog entry's title, this post is about how a fat, homosexual man swindled the $#!t out of me during my first weekend in New York City. It's also about how comedian Aziz Ansari (or Raaaaaaaandy, his ridiculously named alter-ego with whom you may be more familiar) came through in the clutch for me, which is why his picture headlines this post. This isn't a short post. In fact, it's rather long, and quite unfortunate, to be honest. If you're up for a read, then continue. [...]
First week at Complex . Hectic, but I'll make it out alive. My goal? To produce, produce, produce. So before you think this clip is just a random funny moment in Wedding Crashers, take a second to think about it. When you're an intern (which is what I am), nobody cares about what you did to get to where you are. It's all about what you can do now that you're in the spotlight. So like the little man says, "shut your mouth, funny guy, and MAKE IT." Ha. Shout out to all the fellow interns and employees that [...]

It's Friday, and Big Sean just dropped a pretty trill video last night for his freestyle over Gucci 's "Lemonade". Nobody has the song up, they just got the YouTube. So I decided to do you guys a favor and get you the mp3 before everybody else. Download at the bottom, but check the video directly below. This is the kinda song that makes you say, "oh, ok. He's actually kinda nice." All punch lines and swag rap, but you know what? I'm all the way with [...]

DC to BC started in '07 as a twice-weekly radio show with my friend Quinn Coleman and I (we went to school in DC together at that school Obamas kids go to now and ended up at Boston College, thus the name; I hope you knew that.) where we played stuff that the big stations didn't. We were fortunate enough to land KiD CuDi's first radio interview ever back in '07, and since then, we never really looked back. As DC to BC made some respectable leaps and bounds as it evolved from [...]

Leaps, strides, bounds, and whatever else goes in that category. Things are moving, and The Great Progression is looking at a launch around 2.10.2010 . Hopefully it'll be something that you all enjoy. More news coming soon. My bad for the lack of updates, been trying to get myself situated. Finalizing some of this logo / artwork stuff, and assembling the team of writers. I'd like some more girls to contribute, so send me an e-mail with writing samples and area of intrest to info[at]DCtoBC.com. I'll be back sooner rather than later. The [...]
