New Music | Retro/Grade I have to say Retro/Grade are one of the most exciting acts around at the moment. I've seen them twice so far, both times much further down the bill than they deserved, and I have high hopes for them. Check out the trailer for Mindfighter, the visuals for which are just as trippy as their live visuals, which completely blew my mind at the Dance Koko Dance event with Alex Metric. A strong track after the incredibly unique, groundbreaking track MODA. Oh, and, it's Friday!

New Music | Friendly Fires Have to admit I went a bit off Friendly Fires, after Standon Calling 2009. Their set was essentially their debut album, played on CD through some big speakers. Which got a little dull, not that it wasn't a great album. So we sacked it off and boosted it back down to London for a house party in Clapham. Back with new album Pala, and it's a real grower. New Music | Zed's Dead Zed's Dead are starting to make some waves. Nice. I love the contrast between the gentle chords and the pure pure pure filthy bassline in 1975. And good to see them getting their creative juices flowing all over the place with some original material.
