Today is a truly sad day in my world--I just found out that CD World has shuttered their doors ! I can't tell you the untold hundreds of dollars I spent at that place. They had one of the best, most knowledgable staff in town. I love me some Good Records, but, it was nice to be able to go into CD World and get a CD for $8, ya know? A while back I went off about how I couldn't understand why Dallas doesn't have any kind of music festival . Well, it seems that my prayer has been answered...kind of. The good people at the Granada Theater and Main Street Live are presenting Main Street Live 2008 in Downtown Dallas. It is something hopeful to look forward to happening with the arts and music in Dallas now that Deep Ellum is being gentrified . It would be nice to see this thing get bigger [...]
