This absolutely lovely single contains two of Bjork's most sublime B-sides: "Domestica" and "Batabid." The former is what Vespertine could have sounded like (and what a sound it is, DAMN, SON), while the latter is an Aphex Twin-sounding instrumental piece (to be honest I'm skeptical of Bjork making it but Discogs says she arranged it soooo). This is an album I made back in January. It's basically Doris Day samples combined with shit I was listening to at the time. It's actually one of my better ventures in sampling. Vinyl rip of a 1983 Warner compilation. Freshly ripped and tagged so I'm not sure it sounds, to be honest. GOOD JOB ON THE QUALITY CONTROL, ALEX. That being said there's a few staples of 80s college rock here, including Echo & the Bunnymen, Aztec Camera, Gang of Four, and Laurie Anderson. Of especial quality is Anderson's mini-epic "Sharkey's Day". I think William S. Burroughs makes a cameo appearance on that shit. Or maybe it was another track from Anderson's album? My cheap (but efficient) USB turntable came in today and it is GREAT. I've already ripped a few records to FLAC, and even though it won't give you the full quality of a $1,000 setup, who gives a shit? Anyone who says they can hear the difference between gold cartridges and my cute little setup has been facehugging elitist crotch for far too long. Also, I have bad hearing.
