can't wear skinny jeans cuz my knots don't fit i get mixed emotions when i think of jay-z . part of me believes he's a hustler turned humanitarian- using his status to raise awareness for suffering people. what a refreshing departure from the normal (eat-itself-alive) rap ethic that would be. on the other hand, i feel like jay-z's whole world leader brand may be a big PR stunt concocted by the 100's of people on jay's brand's payroll. either way, at the heart of it, is a beautiful juxtaposition. glam-trash. the bottom line is this: jay has delivered many ass-shaking tracks that stand the test of [...]

The Rising of the Female MC M.I.A. and Kid Sister have been blowing up lately, but they are not the only female MCs on the rise. I've seen quite a bit more club rap, reminiscent of the late 80's early 90's. A little reminicent of Salt n Peppa sans waterfalls. the chop is mean and the clap is clean I really like where So Gold 's sound is going. The break style he's using is original for bmore. his sampling and chops are off the handle bars and make great dancefloor killers. and as usual, his remix selection is tongue in cheek and really fun. i would define his style as a fun/hard combo of futuredisco and bmore. one thing is certain, this dude's sound is evolving beyond the confines of the lo-fi breakstyle and sampling of bmore- and incorporating elements of some really cool style and composition.
