A band from Switzerland - I'm playing their album Black and Blue , especially liking mary-jane which is on the website www.mynameisgeorge.ch along with other songs from Black & Blue, which they recorded in Sweden, quite a hike from Switzerland, no? Some of it reminds me of the Beatles, maybe some George Harrison vocals?; indie-rock I spose, but it's nice, try it out eh. myspace

German Film Star by The Passions ..... I was a big Cure fan, still at school when they played tiny gigs at the local college & the Passions were on the same label - Fiction Records , so I bought their stuff too, I think I prefer Hunted, an earlier single, but the German theme, see?. Today I have mostly been listening to : well, an old recording of a John Peel radio show from 1980 that I picked up at The Perfumed Garden - I was actually angling to hear a single I played on, which I know Peel played a few times in 1980, but no such luck.
