"I never liked music until I heard my own" is the headline for Canadian electro artiste Felix Cartal's Myspace page, and it certainly doesn't go unsupported by his tracks. The first track up to bat begins with a haunting blasting of synth, it's almost a HOWL, and it's backed by a blippity-blooping backdrop of electronic stabs, and a never failing beat. The track is aptly named "Skeleton" and whirls along in a wonky, grinding, saw-toothed fashion dismembering the dancefloor with laser beam precision. Now we've got "L'Amour" which kicks off with a washboard-like glitch/stutter [...]

Check out the video from The Higher , and see if they are playing by a town near you.
Well, it's surprisingly warm hot Sunday in LA. Unfortunately for many people living in the Santa Barbara/Montecito/Northwest area of LA, this Sunday is not a day of relaxation, but more of tribulation and loss because of the wildfires that have been expanding and engulfing homes since Thursday. I thought I would post a mellow little diddy in reflection of the ashy atmosphere here. Maybe you can sleep it all away or maybe not... Here's a great tune by Azure Ray who combine intimate lyrics that sprawl elegantly through dreamy piano and string filled soundscapes. [...]

Ahhh, Yuill! I just recently stumbled upon this gem from James Yuill and had to instantly grab his CD Turning Down Water For Air , which is a poppy, beat filled, electro-acoustic, record that will put the shuffle in your shoes. Check out the crunchy, funked out track called "No Pins Allowed" in the video above. It's great to hear a refreshing new mesh of folktronica. "No Surprise" is streamable below... No Surprise

Ahh, here's an oldie, but a goodie. I actually just stumbled across this song that was part of a "100 Best Electronic Albums". It comes from the album Northern Exposure , which was produced and mixed by the famous DJ duo Sasha and Digweed and was released in 1995. It's a very evocative track that really does satisfy it's title - "Out of Body Experience". 90's dance/electronica/house/techno Out of Body Experience

Welcome to BOOMFOX! There's no other way to kick off the epic journey that lays ahead than to drop some bangin' tracks right herrr! First off we have a chopped, screwed, glitched, confection of noise from Young P 3018 who does a gnarly rework of GRUM 's "Whoa". Young P hijacks your ears and takes them for a magic carpet ride through the galaxy while licking electric stars and blasting satellites. GRUM - "WHOA" (Young P 3018 Remix) [...]

You cannot possibly listen to this song without maxing out the volume on your speakers, and lets hope they're not tinny-sounding Macbook speakers... Lets hope that you're either flying down the freeway with friends or tearing up the dancefloor. Rave on and prosper. Stars On 33 - I Feel Music In Your Heart (Kris Menace & Lifelike Extended Remix)
