This is nice, with this one, Dödselectro is hundred posts tall. What can be more fitting representing this than our own new favourite composer Mille from Stockholm. I posted his epic, dreamy c64ish dance track 'Crysteena' a while back, and I wasn't the only one who fell in love with it. The comments and a simple google search will show you that many people embraced this track. Make sure you check it out >here< , if you missed it. Well, Mille is currently working on a remix and new material, what I got [...]

Long time no see. I've been busy lately and haven't had the time to write. Luckily for me our newest contributor Viktor (welcome), and Niklas kept things running while I've been away. Now for the music. Annies brand new track 'Anthonio' from her upcoming album, got worked by New Yorkers Designer Drugs . They just created one hell of a disco hit, and I just can't get enough of this. Listen, love, listen. mp3 Annie - Anthonio (Designer Drugs Remix) I [...]

First off, let's take a moment to really look at that picture. I mean, how immensely cool isn't that thing?! However Adeyhawke , from of Dublin, Ireland, is back with a new killer track. Shake Out Sugar feels like the perfect mashup of The Outrunners and idm, of course heavily influenced by the 80's. Adeyhawke has appeared on a couple of blogs during last year, and was in the MOTU2 collection , so some of you probably heard one or two of his songs already. And now dont' get me wrong, I love Adeyhawke, but when you compare [...]

I love the French electro scene and have always done that since I was a kid and first heard Daft Punk on the radio. And now thanks to Monstoer of Splash My Milk , I have been given a deeper insight too more wicked french producers that otherwise would slip through my fingers unnoticed. One of the tips I got was the trio Vektorkat , but first of; a big thank you Monstoer ! And now, how do I start to describe these guys? Well, got a really good one; Most of [...]

once again. Sweden. and once again, kick ass. Nilof from Stockholm is one of my latest discoveries that represents the new swedish electro scene. These young men are Swedens answer to The Bloody Beetroots , Redial and featured Danger combined. Bringin' the sawing bass lines, the piano builds, and the wobbly synths, creating heavy dance tracks that wont slip any dj's by unnoticed. These guys made it to my watchlist for 2009 indeed. Nilof really shows their producing skills with the smashin' 'Une Heure', and the tearing [...]

Last week on thursday, I got a mail from IllStM and this is the kind of mail that really motivates me to write for this blog; I love to read your blog, that's also why i am very glad and very proud to share with you some fresh electro stuff made in Oslo. In spite of the powerful norvegian mainstream (Minimal, Deep or Progressive), wich has basically stayed still for 10 years now, we represent an alternative and we want to woop your butt!!! I'm IllStM , a member of an artists collective called [...]

When we here at Dödselectro talk about EP II, it gets kinda obvious which man we are talking about (and even more with the picture above). So do you readers remember the youtube-clip Tobias posted about a month ago about a new track (and whined about the crowd)? Well, here it is in lowered quality for preview-purpose of what to expect March 30! mp3 Danger - 88H88 (Stage 3 The Club Remix) [...]

It surprises me, how I discover more and more Swedish acts on the electro scene that just rocks my socks off. Have to thank myspace for that. You could sit all night browsing the ones with cool names and pictures that makes your brain tell you - Hey, this one has a cool picture, means it must be good. In many of these cases it comes down to being not so good, or medioker with potential of getting good. However, two nights ago i stumbled upon these guys out there, and this is just a class act. The brothers Simon [...]

Japan based p e a c e FIRE is finally making an appearance here on Dödselectro. I've been hooked on his tracks 'Bahgdad Rainbow' and 'Into The Freedom' for some time now. There hasn't been a reason for me to post about him since those tracks are not so fresh , they are not _that_ old but I started this blog kinda recently so that's why. Today Stefan (the dude who does the promo) sent me an email containing p e a c e FIRE's first official remix saying this kind of music would fit perfectly [...]

A while ago, I got in contact with the swede Jim aka Coma baby and was introduced to his sounds. And I gotta say, I like what I hear! The music he does takes you where ever you are to a neon dancefloor in your imagination and just makes you feel like you want to be the king of that floor. And for some reason, it keeps you there and makes you want to stay in that imaginary disco. Thats the feeling I atleast get when I listen to it, where it takes you I cannot define. [...]

Remember Le Matos ? They remixed the wonderful Coeur De Pirate song 'Comme Des Enfants' a while back. You can find that mix along with the original right here ! This time I'm presenting an exclusive collaboration between these two acts. "How do I let you know", a cover done as a tribute to the theme song of Private School by Phoebe Cates herself. Well Le Matos and Coeur De Pirate sure knows what buttons to press. I Get really emotional when I hear stuff like this, could cry and laugh at the same [...]

normally, I wouldn't write about hiphop or rap unless it's something special. I like Eminem , first 2 albums are ace. I like his style. I also like these guys, The Girls Can Hear Us! . Edmond Huszar & Will Steep from Ontario Canada got me hooked with their bangin tracks. Electronic beats with piano builds and a monster bass line topped with rap that doesn't sound bad at all. I'm loving this. Ed produces all the music and Will writes the rhymes and raps. Because of similar ideas, styles, and good communication we [...]

Brightons Natasha Khan is releasing her second album "Two Suns" on April 7th. There's a good reason for you to pick it up. Latest single "Daniel" is just amazing. A really sad pop song that , somehow through all the darkness delivers hope and love. It comes with this beautiful creepy video that really makes it come to life. You might remember the brilliant video for " What's A Girl To Do " as well, this one is just as excellent. mp3 [...]

Look at this sweet artwork. The swedish guys DW from the last post did it. They designed a lot of all the technologic 80's art you see out there on myspace. They even made Dödselectro design hotter as you can see, updating the logo and made this sweet background, giving it the 80's neon technologic porn strip club vibe I wanted. Visit DW design on myspace to check out their stuff. Thank you guys. Now, to go with this, how about some music from Russia that really rounds this new look up? [...]

once again, Valerie hosts 2 new tracks by this genius from Leeds. I'm talking about the Cleef, EVC ; Edwin Van Cleef . Presenting his latest magic, 'Overtaken' and an excelent remix of ProCons 'Delia'. Unique to the Cleef sound is this outer space melancholy driven by the sidechaining beat that keeps on pumping til the end. Add a chick and a one liner and you got an electro disco track that fucking rocks. Nobody does it like him. I'm really looking forward to an official Edwin release. He is one of my [...]

Swedish italo meisters Kilian Eng & Amir Zaino in DW just made the french synth icon Darocs track 'Hypnotic' even better. Putting their musical genius heads together adding outer dimension italo vocals to this beautiful symphony. The result is 'Hypnotic France', and it just sounds like this was the way it was meant to be. This is truly a electronic experience out of the ordinary, a dreamy anthem to an era that slowly and slowly is becoming reality again. Thanks to guys like these. mp3 Daroc Feat DW - [...]

What is love, baby don't hurt me. Two brilliant remixes from Canadian Barletta , who takes on Haddaway and Britney Spears. I love Haddaway and I love Circus remixes. Found these on the docking station , cheers. mp3 Haddaway - What Is Love (Barletta Remix) mp3 Britney Spears - Circus (Barletta Edit) This is one hell of a remix on Frankmusik song '3 Little Words' coming from Inside Out Boy . Remixing [...]

think dark. Owl Vision is Johannes Arnesson from Gothenburg Sweden, he's all about heavy synths, dark pounding basslines and sounds straight out of your worst nightmare. I've been checking his myspace from time to time, and now he makes an entrance here on Dödselectro. Well not exactly, he has been featured before in the mix post with his 'Ba Ba Ba (Miss Li)', if you missed that one, it's right here . Tonight I got an email from him containing his latest remix, Steed Lords 'You', and that's it, Owl Vision needs his own post. He Squeezed [...]

Oh god, I'm been so out of it lately. Let me tell you readers; having heavy group assignments and at the same time writing a home-exam is not fun at all. Especially when I get mail from many producers who most of them presents lovely tunes I just want spread the word about. But now I have a small break from the things described above, so let me use that time efficientantly to write about Stereoheroes ! This french duo concist of the two guys Cerf & Bui, who contacted me during the weekend about their [...]
