Check out this Slideshow from last year's Bonnaroo composed of a few of my favorite photos and acts. I had a really amazing time, and tickets are quickly running out for this year. Also, if you are heading to SXSW check out Last.fm's handy Band Aid Group/Application. I noticed a few good recomendations with my account including Bon Iver, Zykos, Asobi Seksu, and a handful of others. Definitely worth a look if you are headed there or just looking for a few good recommendations.

Kaiser Chiefs impressed me with their first album, and the newest effort, Yours Truly, Angry Mob, is just what you would want from a these Leeds Britpopsters in a sophomore album. With the success of their last album Kaiser Chiefs are probably in no way new to many of you, but, thanks to The MuseBox, I have an MP3 to share. Dr. Dog and What Made Milwaukee Famous play Juanita's in Little Rock tonight. Definitely be there if you can. Dr. Dog recently released their new album We all Belong on Park the Van Records. Some of the tracks you may have seen before on Takers of Leavers , an EP they released last year, but there is also plenty of new psych-pop goodness. Arrah And The Ferns will be playing Little Rock's The Treehouse tonight. Arrah were label and state mates to Indiana's Margot and the Nuclear So& So's before they moved on to the now restructured V2. Zykos , an Austin, Tx band, are back in 2007 with new demos. The most prominent of these has to be the new version of "Keep It Light." Much fuller and more mastered than the original, "Keep It Light" could turn out to be a beacon for Zykos' album, whenever they decide to release it. Keep an eye out for Zykos in 2007. Shearwater released Palo Santo in 2006 on Misra and, since, have been touring everywhere from Europe to Illinois, making a stop at Daytrotter . While no tour dates are currently on the band's website, many blogs have announced their effort towards a SXSW gig, The Hot Freaks! , which will include Shearwater. I found out about this at the last minute, but Tel Aviv are playing a CD release show at The Gypsy in Fayetteville. Not sure about the time, but myspace says 10P (Localist mag says 9P!?) Julie Doiron will be releasing her first material in over two years this month on Jagjaguwar . Doiron reunited with members of her former band, Eric's Trip, to create what Jag says " is timeless and universal, in the same way as Cat Power's Moon Pix, Leonard Cohen's Songs of Love And Hate, and Joni Mitchell's Blue. The Big Cats have officially released their new album, On Tomorrow , and it is available in the Max Recordings store . Little Rock natives The Easys released their new full length album, Blood Capsule , December 22nd on Max Recordings . Their sophomore follow up to 2003's The Secrets of Loveliness went on sale at an album release show that night and will probably be added to the Max Recordings Shop sometime soon. The Ponys signed to Matador Records earlier this year and plan to release their third album, Turn The Lights Out , since their formation in 2000.
