photo: Joel Coleman Just saw Tensnake upload an "Everything In Its Right Place" edit on soundcloud and remembered I'd never shared this Müller mix with you guys. I've been holdin' onto this one for a long time. It's one of those tracks that's so good you just want to keep it to yourself. It's not new, about 3 years old and probably not much of a secret either since it's been download over 4,500 times on Müller's soundcloud but [...]

2k72s dance pop darling, Little Boots is back! Her new single "SHAKE" is sure to get shipped off to expensive clothing stores asap. It's got a nice driving bassline accompanied by voque style synths and Ms. Hesketh's lovely haunting vocals. "SHAKE" is out now on itukes UK . If you're in London early December, check the single's release party here .

It's pretty smart what the Bloody Beetroots are doing, creating their own juggalo-type congregation of followers whose loyalty will be rooted in this vague manifesto which covers just about every emotion anyone has ever felt. I'd agree with them, that certain areas of music have become stale and mediocre; such that a wake-up track like "Church of Noise" is refreshing. Having been a big fan of Refused' "New Noise" single, Dennis Lyxzén's screaming doesn't bother me and the M83 slash "Where the Streets Have No Name" inspired instrumental is an [...]

I'm pretty jealous of anyone who's been able to go to I Love Techno , held annually in Belgium. The lineups are always sick and the crowds sound like they'd be fun to be a part of. This year, Crookers recorded their set and released it through their soundcloud page , which you can listen to bellow: Crookers @ I LOVE TECHNO 2011 by Crookers.net download

Here's the new Bag Raiders remix for the Ting Ting 's upcoming single, "Silence." It's a gorgeous track but it's playing dangerously close to the danceless pit Cut Copy, Simian Mobile Disco, the Rapture and many others fell into this year. I guess I'd call it "tumblr-house." Obviously Bag Raiders are aloud to explore different sounds. I love them and this song is great, it's got a hummable melody, lush soundscapes and a driving beat. I'd just be sad to see them put away their [...]

Photo: Matt James Sunday was bittersweet. As I stepped out of my car and into the brisk afternoon air to brush my teeth and take a water jug shower, I thought about how much I'd fallen in love with Asheville over a short period of time. All of the people I'd met were really nice. I don't really have a boner for think-green ideals but the flourishing diy shops and restaurants in Asheville were really nice to be around. Everything felt natural and unforced. I had a late lunch at the Mellow [...]

Photo: Reggie Tidwell The secret to sleeping in late at a festival, no matter where it's held, is Nyquil the night before, earplugs and an eyemask. With these things, you can sleep through anything. I woke up late Satruday afternoon despite my bed being two carseats and the occasional loud noises of heckling passers by in the morning. I swear I heard someone call me a serial killer at one point. I called my friend Matt, a North Carolina native to ask about the best food in Asheville. He pointed me [...]

Photo: Scott W Lee When I arrived in Asheville, the city was cold, dark, rainy and like all new places, a bit daunting to get around but not all romances start with love at first sight. I was sad to have missed Mayer Hawthorne's fifties infused crooning session but at least I'd get to catch some Little Dragon right? Nope. They bailed. Word on the street was, one of their members got sick. Everyone I talked to figured they just didn't want to use their expensive synths in the rain. [...]

Pendulum members, Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen have quickly established a powerful position within the club scene as Knife Party . These guys seem to be able to fart out glorious and memorable rave anthems like it's nothing. Some of their biggest hits like the "Unison" or "Crush on You" remixes draw heavily from Skrillex ' distorted high-end style drop but their "Save the World" remix and this new original showcases their own techniques which were first featured in songs like "the Island pt II." "Internet Friends" will be a hit because [...]

Daft Punk - Something About Us (Cherokee Remix) download The Knocks - Brightside (Lenno Remix) Star Slinger - Moet & Reese download Sneaky Sound System - Big (Oliver Remix) download Lady Gaga - Marry The Night (Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs Remix)

At first you're like, "yah this is pretty good." The second time around you're like, "ooooh k, this is really good." And then about the third time through you're trying to create some sort of machine that makes mp3s edible so you can have this song inside you. Tensnake 's cool buildup toward lush chord choices and a danceable beat make this Friendly Fire s rework one of his best productions so far. Friendly Fires - Hurting (Tensnake [...]

Bart B More 's been behind a lot of great recent releases, my favorite being the Ones EP with Harvard Bass . His latest remix takes a chunk of Fools Gold trio, Cubic Zirconia's "Take Me High" and turns it into massive house anthem. You can almost see the lasers flying through the smoke as the vocals get chopped up alongside the synths and signature B More percussion. This was originally released through the Annie Mac Presents soundcloud page. Cubic Zirconia - Take [...]

![[Interview] Surkin](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3839911_lg.jpg)
Surkin 's always been a favorite of mine. Although his sounds borrow from producers of the past, his music has always been finely tuned to his own style which would be impossible to replicate without sounding like a cheap imitation. All the old school sampling, grungy kicks and gritty basslines which define Surkin's sound can be found in his new record, USA, which is out Nov 7. A lot of artists who I fell in love with over the course of '06-'08 have released new works since then and very few of these new works are worth [...]

I could be all coy and pretend I knew the original and have had the vinyl sitting on my dresser or something but really, I had to look the Fred Falke version up on youtube like a chump. Vanguard 's vocal edit actually changes a lot from the original. The key for one is different and the whole atmosphere is kicked up to another level. It's still got the breezy laidback-house feel of Falke's early work but Vanguard's version is more suited for a heavier disco environment. Not too hard. Not too soft. It's the perfect [...]

Funny story. I was on beatport the other day with the intent of buying Tom Staar 's "Weekenders" track and I guess I was zoning out because I ended up buying "Death Staar" on accident. This turned out to be one of my favorite mess ups because "Death Staar" is an equally huge tune drenched in delicious amounts of uk bass. Moral of the story is, Tom Staar makes excellent music and his latest EP, Death Staar is out now . Grab [...]

For the mass appeal Lana Del Rey is gaining, it's surprising there aren't many great remixes of her work. Most of the versions of "Video Games," I've heard venture deep into weirdo art-house snore-fest land and almost disregard her vocals completely, which should be the main emphasis in a vocally driven track like this one. It makes sense that Jakwob , whose Ellie Goulding remix went triple platinum (in blog currency), was commissioned to work on this Del Rey remix. But this time he's not working alone. [...]

I've got a soft spot for well produced big room dance music and Kaskade is the king of this department, especially when it comes to working with gorgeous female vocals. The video above shows him and collaborative artists talking about the new album, Fire & Ice . Fans of his previous work will enjoy the new record, it covers similar lush soundscapes and his creative way of approaching the double album is fun. Kaskade - Fire & Ice out now on itunes .

Yesss!! Rinse.FM just uploaded the official streams from Skream 's new EP, "Anticipate ft Sam Frank . " No more radio djs or air horns, just a gorgeous upcoming single in its purest form (until the actual release date Nov. 14). Rinse.FM are pretty spot on with everything they upload. If you're a youtuber, be sure to subscribe . Skream - Anticipate feat. Sam Frank (Original Mix) [...]
