There will be some of you who already know this blog , but I just love it so much, I had to mention it once more. It's about Starr. She studies public relations and film. Furthermore, she has a passion for fashion and thrifting (she always finds the best things in thrift shops, car sales, ... ). On this blog, she mostly posts pictures of her outfits and her thrift finds. She also has an Etsy shop and inspiration blog, called Cupcakes for the eyes [...]

I just checked and my last Musical Crush dates back to June. That is a long time. But to be honest, several times between June and now I wondered if I'd come across music that was worth the musical crush label and nothing came to mind directly. I think that for my crushes, there just has to be something that immediately strikes me. Love at first sight, that kind of thing. (there appear to be 2 less of them now) About an hour ago I had one of those moments [...]

Last August I managed to fall in the middle of the street, after which I got some sort of seizure (not as bad as it sounds) and fainted for a couple of seconds during which I managed to fall face down into my glass and started to convulse. In the end it wasn't anything bad, just low blood pressure after my fall but it resulted in me throwing up for the rest of the afternoon. Fun times! Not so much. Then the days after I gradually got stressed out more and more cause I still had lots to [...]

I chose Violetta for this month's perfect look, cause I must say, this is quite perfect. I'm loving the colour green at the moment, especially dark green, but that's not the main reason why I picked this one. The dress and the cardigan seem made for eachother. Plus, I like how the Dr. Martens, the bag and the belt give the look more of an edge (I don't like very girly outfits). The red lipstick clashes/matches perfect with that colour green. Here's a close-up of the print of the dress: [...]

I blogged about Happy Birthday a while ago ( see ) where I told you about them. I thought I'd do an introductory interview as well, since they were playing here last Thursday. Happy Birthday are a funny bunch that seemed genuinely happy to play Europe. Just read on... I brought chocolate as an icebreaker! All together : oooh yummmm. (talking about the chocolate brand, where they’re from – Vermont – , my shoes, Cape Verde and French sentences like “voulez-vous coucher avec moi?”) Can you [...]

It feels like it's been raining releases I'd been looking forward to for a long time, the past 2 weeks. Lykke Li, Is Tropical, Veronica Falls and now... Marina Gasolina ! Yup, it's the former Bonde Do Role member Marina! Hermine wondered what happened to her more than 2 years ago in this blogpost but we never really heard anything about her - apart from some loose collaborations. She is most definitely back right now though. Having lived in London for the past 2 years, [...]

to get hold of a brand new Veronica Falls song! Do it right here . Patrick has been so kind to write a little note to go with the free download and an update on what's going on. The new song is called Right Side of My Brain and is just as amazing as their former releases. I heard it live in Paris on Friday and it sounded great. The French were eating out of their hands and I'm sure it [...]
I think it was even before the Lykke Li song was released that I saw the video to Is Tropical 's South Pacific . Almost a year ago I was going to blog about this band but due to their management being difficult I didn't in the end. It all got a little confusing and I forgot about them for a while. They released this pretty neat video though like I said, take a look: It's their first single to be releasd on Kitsuné with a [...]

So many good looking and well dressed artists out there. It's hard to choose, but this one really caught my eye. The ninth style award goes to... The Good Natured! The Good Natured is Sarah Mcintosh and plays what you can call electropop. She's very talented and has released two ep's, Warriors and Your body is a machine. What I truly like about her is her quirky style, from old vintage dresses en blouses to very colourful tops and cardigans. I'm also madly in love with her hair, it suits [...]

We aren't normally the first to blog a track when it's just released but every now and then, you gotta make an exception. Lykke Li is definitely that exception because, oh boy, I just heard her new single and it definitely exceeds my (high) expectations. I loved her first album and I'll never forget seeing her in the smallest room of the AB in Brussels more than 2 years ago (read my account here ). It felt like a really special show. Lykke Li is [...]

She's Lola and she takes photographs. If you can't draw inspiration from this blog , then I'm not sure about anything anymore. Every post is a combination of pictures in a certain theme, let it be a colour, a season, a book or a feeling. The pictures just seem to match. I love going through the pages and discovering new things every time. I'm always anxiously waiting for a new post to appear on the screen. Here's an example, with the colour white as a theme: [...]

Karen and Bram share the same passion and to celebrate the 5 years they've been together they created Ghent Streetstyle . It's a blog where they regularly post pictures of stylish people they encounter in Ghent. Some of you, especially those who were with us from the beginning, know that we love streetstyle and that we want to create something similar, so we support everyone who's like minded. So far, they've done a great job and of course there are some very stylish people walking the streets of Belgium and especially in Ghent, so I'm excited to [...]

I just randomly stumbled upon this picture on some blog: and I was immediately smitten. I've been into rope/braided necklaces for a while now and have been asking my sister to make me one. These one come pretty close to perfection and are crafted by The Vamoose. The Vamoose is Kathryn Blackmore, a UK resident, who is inspired by "natural history, a growing collection of vintage finds and an exploration of traditional crafts with modern influences" which you can definitely tell from her jewellery in my opinion. [...]

On Saturday I decided to spend a day in Brussels with my sister, as they'd predicted lovely sunny weather. And for once, the weather forecast was right. Brussels is my favourite Belgian city for sure: it's multicultural and there's so much to do and see. When I went to Brussels with a friend for the first time years ago I hated it. I disliked the people, the cold atmosphere, the mess a big part of the city is in. I couldn't wait to be back home. Overt the years I've realised that you have to learn [...]

I'm constantly browsing the Internet for blogs that I can share with you guys and I must say there are some amazing ones out there, but only once in a while you find something rare, an absolute gem. It must've been luck, cause a couple of days ago I discovered one and oh my, do I love it! It's not a normal fashion blog at all. She doesn't write a post about her outfit and tells you where she got everything from. She just post photographs of all the outfits [...]

No, not the actor. Philip Seymour Hoffman is Noah. When I went to Berlin end of June/early July we also went to see Beach House at the Lido, as blogged about back then. We sold one of our tickets (it was completely sold out which made for a lot of desperate people) to an Icelandic guy from the band Who Knew? He'd been talking to another big fan without a ticket: Noah. He got in as well and we talked to all of them for a while. We later came [...]
In these series they go back in time and record music straight onto vinyl. This creates the ultimate music vibe, I do tend to believe. In this session it's Foals. They perform Blue Blood and Spanish Sahara (from Total Life Forever) and this amazing cover: Tears for Fears' Everybody wants to rule the world. Do check out the amazing artwork for these vinyls. Me definitely wants one. Foals also covered One by Swedish House Mafia. I must say, it's pretty [...]

The title of this post could've been the title of a song but it isn't. I am, however, about to talk to you about music. I've made statements about 2 bands (one on the blog, the other often mentioned in conversations) that I wish to take back now. I was wrong. It happens to the best of us, right? (by Kmeron ) First up, The Morning Benders . Remember what I said about them after I'd seen them live in Berlin? No? Go read it here . Not exactly positive. And [...]

I don't really know what it is about this picture that blew me away, maybe it's the simplicity, maybe cause it's all black... I do know that this is perfect for upcoming fall. Last week was packed with rain and cold, so I'm all excited about wearing layers, combined with big woollen scarfs, warm duffle coats and laced boots. What I absolutely love are the tights, I believe they make the oufit more interesting. I wear tights all the time, they are just so comfy and warm under a nice dress/skirt/shorts, they come in all colours and prints, [...]

Somehow I ended up at some sort of fashion party (it was London Fashion Week for a reason) on Tuesday night. It was coming to an end which is how I managed to get in. Another Argintenean called Nyco snapped some pictures. I taught him the word 'tummy' mere hours later and he also learnt what shooting from the hip is (and that the term is frequently used in the film Blow-Up ). A technique he immediately mastered by photographing girls's underwear. Here's a couple to give you an idea: [...]
