Out today from Birdman Records is Live at the Creamery by the Gris Gris . Oakland's Gris Gris were the Bay's coolest band for their all-too-short existence. Lead by Greg Ashley , who'd migrated to Oakland via Texas, the band's two records displayed a healthy experimental mix of both locales signature sounds - country, blues, and psychedelic rock.
