Okay so I totally love Lady GaGa . She is sexy, amazing, and just makes good music. I was kind of annoyed though since I heard a pretty crappy remix of "Just Dance" on Dollhouse , that new show by Joss Wendon (still doesn't look as good as Firefly ). If you like her (or even if you don't like her) then I have two special treats for you. One is the Automatic Panic vs Dj Cat remix which is just gold. I have to check these guys out after hearing this. Then besides that she has [...]
I first heard of Jokers of the Scene when I was buying music off of iTunes (I got a gift card, I wouldn't have otherwise >_>). It came up as one of the suggestions and the name was interesting so I decided to check them out. I'm sure glad that I did. Jokers of the Scene are an Ottawa based group who makes music ranging from great electronica (Baggy Bottom Boys) to Mashup featuring the Austin Powers theme (Juggle It). Here's some tracks for you to get an idea. Jokers of the Scene - Baggy [...]

So it looks like We Are Terrorists are up to it again. According to their MySpace , they look to be coming out with a remix version of their amazing debut EP, Don't Panic. Remixers include Datsu, Digikid84, Double Dragon, and Sexual Earthquake in Kobe (the only one I recognize out of this bunch). I'm not too sure how I feel about this. Remix albums can either be epic or just meh. And when the original EP was so good I'm not sure how they could even make it better. If you don't know them then by [...]
Just today I was wondering what Simian Mobile Disco has been up to after hearing them come up on shuffle. Then I get on to see that Disco Dust posted about a new video by them. At first I wasn't too sure if I liked it but it really grew on me after listening to it a second time. Now I really can't wait for new material (and an mp3 of this >_>) Anyways for those of you who don't know of their greatness here's some tracks for you. Simian Mobile Disco [...]

How's this for a change, an American electronica group. Hot Pink Delorean is a Boston group who put out songs that are both different and typical of today's electronica. They came out with their first EP which is said to be the first half of their upcoming album. They are said to be working on their second EP, so hopefully we'll see that soon. On and their name is super awesome. We've seen France's electronica scene expand into many other regions, Japan being a big one recently. Hopefully we'll be seeing more American electronica [...]

Either I'm becoming more interested in Japanese electronica or it's becoming more popular (or both). With great stuff like what's coming from Shinichi Osawa and 80kidz I wouldn't be surprised. Thankfully it looks like these great bands are getting recognition in their own country. Disney (who is apparently just pure kickass in Japan) decided to release a compilation album named House☆Disney (check out the site for previews). The album is made up of electronic versions of popular Disney songs done by the biggest names in Japanese electonica. Shinichi Osawa , 80kidz , MEG , and [...]

Finally something that's new in blog terms. I've been a big fan of Little Boots for quite a while, ever since I heard Meddle (I came to like Stuck on Repeat more after hearing it). Anyways she's worked with VV Brown on the song Leave. Before this I've only heard of VV Brown as being the next bing thing so I thought this would be a good chance to check her out. Little Boots provides a different style and atmosphere than VV Brown's and it's quite interesting how it mixes with VV Brown's vocals. [...]

I just can't stop listening to Designer Drugs since I got their two song EP. The first song "Back Up In This" is a good song in it's own right. I really love that siren sound in it. But it just can't compare to the awesomeness that is Zombies. Designer Drugs - Zombies Both songs have a great horror theme going for them. Even though the first one might not flaunt it like Zombies does (obviously), it still shares much of the same style. Designer Drugs shed this style for most of their remixes, [...]
When I first heard You Love Her Coz She's Dead I was in love. I like Crystal Castles a lot but they never really seemed to stick with me. YLHCSD on the other hand has a more upbeat and poppy sound I guess that just appeals to me more. Don't get me wrong, both are very good bands but given a choice I would go for YLHCSD any day. Above is their first video, Dead End. Not only is the song totally amazing, but the video is just great. That fox is so cute [...]

I am very glad that I stumbled upon Just a Band just a while ago. They bring a certain style to their music that reminds me a lot of Does It Offend You Yeah? . Oh and that album art pretty much just kicks ass. To date they've released two EPs and it looks like a third one is slated from what they say on their MySpace. Just a Band - Girls Get Down Just a Band - Burn It Out Just a Band - [...]
