Nation of Heat So, some more about this Joe Pug character. I'm a pretty big fan. I love his voice, his guitar style, and most of all his lyrics. I'm super excited for when he comes back to Ann Arbor to play at the end of the month. I still can't believe the A2 Folk Festival only let him play one song a night. LAME. Anywho...check him out. Got an attitude stank as a landfill I've had a track by the Saturday Knights for a while but recently re-discovered them thanks to my iPod being on shuffle. These guys are a lot of fun. Their video they put out last week (?) is absolutely hilarious. It's def an ode to old school sesame street complete with kids and puppets. Totally bummed I've been looking forward to Mos Def's new album "The Ecstatic" for a loooooooong time. It was slated for a Feb. 24th release and now there are conflicting reports saying it might have been pushed back to a June release. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I need some new Mos in my life. Awaiting M. Ward... Things I'm looking forward to next week: M.Ward's new album. Seriously CANNOT wait. If you don't know who he is, you better wake the f up. He's most famous as the "Him" of the group She and Him with Zooey Deschannel (the girl from Elf, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, crazy girlfriend on Weeds, etc.). I have a slight obsession with old school soul and R&B. Sam Cooke and Otis Redding are some of my most favorite artists of all time. I can totally see myself pulling a Duckie from the movie Pretty in Pink tearing around a record store rocking out to Otis.
