Friend crushes...Story of my life.  Although now the friend crush is on the Brooklyn band 'Friends' and the issue is something they know all about. I'm a little delayed on catching on to this track, but better late than never. This is one of the most brilliantly haunting, sultry and moody tracks I've heard in a long time. One of my favourite tracks of last summer appeared to come out of absolutely nowhere. Last Monday, I heard 'Americano' drop in a club I was in and actually felt a little ill. It may sound pretentious, but one thing I hate about the dance vs. mainstream music club culture is that you discover a song and 6-8 months later you're still hearing it recycled by DJ's that can be heard slurring to their mates "have you heard this yet?". It takes alot for a cover version to make an impact on me and it also takes alot for me to blog about the same artist more than once in one day. So for those two reasons alone, you can be assured that Adele's cover of one of the greatest ever love songs ever written (in my opinion), 'Lovesong' by The Cure is pretty damn special. Wow. x

Finally, there's something to get excited about. Releasing two EPs and a full length containing them and enough new tracks to make a third EP in six months is a pretty impressive move for an artist generally.
