It's been a fair while since I've posted anything. Been busy with university and shit and fuck. New Com Truise! Com Truise's electronic synthtastic music sounds like it belongs back when Tom Cruise looked like this. Truise's soundcloud page had this note posted with the new song: "This track was meant for another use, but I decided to share it!" So maybe not a sign for another upcoming LP. :/ Here's a 128kbps download link for y'all.

Justin Timberlake's first new song in several years 'Suit & Tie' was met with positive reviews and excitement. While I wasn't a big fan of the original, I'm still looking forward to the release of his third LP The 20/20 Experience on March 15. The second single 'Mirrors' isn't too crash hot either but they're both alright in the end. Just not up to Futuresex/Lovesounds quality for me. There are some interesting remixes but. Four Tet's leaked just a few days ago (and he was none too happy about it). [...]
So Baauer's 'Harlem Shake' is huge right now thanks to videos like this trying their hardest to make you hate the song in record time. The original song is a free download off old mate's soundcloud The 23-year-old producer is also quite apt at the remixing game. Here's a few of my favourites for you to enjoy. Flosstradamus - Roll Up (Baauer remix) Ryan Hemsworth [...]
New James Blake hnnnggg Love it Love him Been waiting so long for some new Blake. His next LP will be out April 8th titled 'Overgrown'

Meant to make this post before the one about Disclosure's 'White Noise' that features AlunaGeorge but I'm too lazy! AlunaGeorge are a British duo consisting of Aluna Francis (on vocals) and George Reid (with production). Simple name but a good one notwithstanding! They finished second in the BBC's Sound of 2013 poll so expect them to become even bigger this year and their debut LP Body Music will drop at some point. Aluna's voice is very distinctive and beautiful. The production is great and all but it's Aluna's voice that is the reason I keep coming [...]

Ryan Hemsworth was one of my favourite discoveries of 2012. The man is a production prodigy. Remix legend. The Canadian producer who isn't related to Liam or Chris Hemsworth is worth more than either of them. I think I first found him through his remix of my boy frank ocean's 'Thinkin' Bout You' which helped me play the tune another 100 times after playing the original over and over again. Other remix highlights of Hemsworth's include his cut of Grimes' 'Genesis' and Jeremih's '773 Love'. His remixes are all killer, you should check them out over on his soundcloud . [...]

Sometimes you love bad songs. Or songs that ooze cheesiness. My prime example would be Jesse McCartney's 'Beautiful Soul'. 9 years on I still listen to it and it has 5 stars in my iTunes. :/ Call Me Maybe is another one. For whatever reason we embrace the catchiness and throw away the shackles of good taste for a few minutes. UK duo Bodhi have taken on 'Good Vibrations' the 90-est of 90 's songs. Most consider Mark Wahlberg's foray into rapping a failure but 'Good Vibrations' lives on for me. Admittedly his lame raps are the worst parts [...]
![Disclosure – White Noise [featuring AlunaGeorge]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4733812_lg.jpg)
As someone who loves everything Disclosure, today was a good day. (I didn't even have to use my AK either) Disclosure debuted their new single 'White Noise' on Zane Lowe's BBC1 radio show . The song features Aluna Francis from AlunaGeorge on vocals. They played this song at a few clubs while they were in Australia recently but this is the first time we've got to hear it besides on shitty phone recordings! After only a few listens I'm still left guessing what to think. It's not as catchy as their huge pop, more mainstream sound [...]

Harley Streten, known as Flume, is a 21-year-old Australian producer who's on top and hitting strength after strength. His debut self-titled LP went gold in Australia as well as his single 'Holdin' On'. Not bad for a young guy. He's been doing massive festival shows in Australia (I was lucky enough to catch him in action) before heading off to Europe for a tour right now! Before he left he made a mix for Fader and answered a few questions about how he started which was interesting. If Flume can go from just playing video games and smoking [...]
![[Review] Argo](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4733814_lg.jpg)
Argo. Had heard good things about it, how Ben Affleck was robbed by the Oscars nominations etc etc. It did not meet my expectations. Argo isn't captivating or suspenseful but it is just enough of those to keep my attention for it's entirety. Reading the wiki page after watching it I find myself agreeing strongly with NYT critic Stanley Fish who summed up my feelings towards the films much more eloquently than I could hope to so let me just Ctrl+C some of it. "This is one of those movies that depend [...]

Ayo, so I hope you're all having a Merry Christmas. Here in Sydney, Australia it's stormy and raining when it has no right to be. It's supposed to be hot, it's summer! People have seafood for christmas lunch for god's sake. (pun unintended) Just wanted to share this killer holidaze mix from the guys over at eletronic music blog gottadancedirty . It's got a bit of everything in it featuring some of the best tracks going round right now, many which have been featured right here. Check it out, it's a free download. [...]

So I only just discovered yesterday there was a bonus track for The xx's album Coexist from earlier this year. Fuck me right? 'Reconsider' is the bonus cut from the Japanese version of Coexist and it's better than some of the actual tracks featured on the LP. It features the haunting back and forth vocals of Oliver Sim and Romy Madley Croft as always. They manage to always sound connected in the haunting themes of heartbreak yet have only ever been friends. I finally discovered 'Reconsider' as Jamie XX played his own remix [...]

This tune dropped about a week ago. Disclosure can do no wrong. Their remix of the garage classic 'Please Don't Turn Me On' by Artful Dodger gets me moving in all the right directions. Love it. Have a listen and download it! DOWNLOAD LINK

UK garage/house/awesome brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence who make up Disclosure are probably my favourite act I discovered in 2012. Their single 'Latch' featuring the amazing vocals of Sam Smith has 122 plays in my iTunes as of writing. That's crazy! My most played song. I love it. This post is a celebration of their amazing productions and a chance to grab them all in one place. 2010: Offline Dexterity EP - Offline [...]
"I gave you my heart, but the very next day you gave it away.." It's that time of the year! Shopping malls have been playing Christmas music since November but there's actually some good Christmas season music out there. While 'Last Christmas' by Wham! might be one of the more corny Christmas songs, it is still enjoyable, I don't give a hoot. Minimilastic indie pop group The xx have had a go at the 802s Christmas song putting their signature style on it. It's pretty great and a [...]
This tune is killer. Heard it on the radio a couple of times and thought to myself "I MUST have it". The beat is infectious and I've caught my self singing along to the rhythm many a time. I am looking forward to more from His Majesty. DOWNLOAD LINK

I haven't always been the biggest Presets fan. Their hit single 'My People' got really annoying after a while and when I saw them live a few years ago I was unimpressed. But their new album Pacifica is pretty great, full of summer synth songs. Fellow Australian producer Plastic Plates has taken 'Promises' and made it even catchier. even funkier and bloody amazing. I can't help but sing along every time. DOWNLOAD LINK You should also check out Plastic Plate's fantastic remix of Sam [...]
The UK producer responsible for one of the year's greatest songs in 'The Giver', Duke Dumont, has hit gold again by placing up-and-comer A*M*E's vocals onto yet another exceptional beat. A*M*E (of only 18 years) is best known for the K-pop inspired single 'Play the Game Boy' which is catchy and manages to hook you in as much as you want to resist. A somewhat unexpected combination here but it is magic and is a honourable follow-up to the untouchable 'The Giver'. Here's a download of Need U (100%) [only available at 128kbps at the moment, sorry!] [...]
