Today I shall blog about a band I've really been into recently. They're a disco-house duo signed to Chicago's Beatism label, Galactik Knights. As well as making dancefloor fillers, they are also keen manga/anime enthusiasts, and are writing and scoring their own manga series, "The Legend of the Galactik Knights". So without further ado, here's my favourite track from their Digital Silver EP, plus a remix that actually makes good work of that douche T-Pain and that wifebeating douche Chris Brown. I remember reading somewhere that Together (Thomas Bangalter and DJ Falcon's duo, for any Daft Illiterates out there) sampled the 90210 theme for their first collab, Together. I also recall reading that they sampled the bass from some different version of the theme from like... season five, or whatever the crap it was. I honestly don't know, as I've never seen the show. All I know is that the theme has some supercool early 90's guitar. So I got to thinking... and then there it was. I know hypem doesn't like people promoting their own songs... but... eh... [...]

May or may not you know, today is my birthday. But instead of you giving me a gift, im giving you some. A random selection of songs, some known, some unknown, but that you will certainly enjoy, to remove the stench of boyband pop and horrible music off this blog. I wont make any introductions, so all you have to do is listen, download and dance. David E. Sugar - Although You May Laugh [right click to download] [...]

You probably remember my post with the Fake Blood and Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve mini mixes from Radio 1. Well, this minimix, put together by Italian up-and-comer His Majesty Andre for Jaymo & Andy George (who were covering for Annie Mac that week), blows those two out of the water, smashing the record for most tracks in a Radio 1 minimix in the process, with 152 tracks making up his mix. Packed with tune after tune of EDM goodness, some reduced to nothing but miniscule snippets, this mix is not one to miss! Not many people could get [...]

Who doesn't love The Police (aside from all those rock and dance music hating people in that town from Footloose)? And I don't mean the men in uniform who protect us from our own stupidity. I mean the awesome old rock band. Anyway, I admit that I am not as knowledgeable on them as I should be having grown up in a household of 70's and 80's music. In fact, it is only because of my fetish for electronic music that I ever heard anything they did. Sure, I knew about them, but not what they [...]
Hi there, to banish Jonas Brothersonix forever from the frontpage, I will be posting today along with practically all the other writers. I've got some other good news, because tomorrow I will be going on a holiday for a week to la france. Too bad it's not for some clubhopping (I practically saw all big frenchers already, so no need for that), but to cool off in the mountains with some friends. So what do I have in store for today? It's a low-quality youtubevideo from the german Justice-equivalent, Boys Noize. [...]

Today I thought I'd take a new approach to writing. Since I can't think of any amazing tracks I should share with you, I'm travelling to the other end of the spectrum. So today, I am going to post the three worst (respectable) songs I own. Prepare yourself. I want to make something clear, I could post some underground hardcore that would bleed your ears, but I am avoiding the hard stuff. Today's criteria is that it's by semi-respectable artists, and it will not kill small children. These tracks are....annoying. I'm not sure how to explain it...but [...]

I had a change in heart, maybe the Jonas Brothers isn't the direction we're looking to take. Thomas approves.

Sorry guys. The time has finally come... It has been about 8 months since I first started ilictronix, and what first seemed to be a good idea soon turned out badly. So starting tonight, ilictronix will now be known as Jonas Brothersonix . Look guys, I need the hits. I've made some dumb mistakes and I need the money quick. Running an electronic music blog just isn't worth it anymore, [...]
10 point to the person who can tell me what this song says, and what it means. Note: I am terribly sorry but I have absolutely no idea who either the original or remix artist is. I wish I could give some background information...All I know is that it comes from an electrorock compilation album sent to me from an internet buddy. Minimal Compact - Deadly Weapons (Optimo Remix) [right click to download] A Bonus! [...]
Sorry to Joe for not keeping his post on top for long, but i found this on Youtube: He covered pretty much everything, from Michael Jackson to the Pokemon Theme Song. Simply amazing.
I decided to make this today using Kinemac, which I got for 37 bucks here . I plan on making this video longer, around 30 seconds. This was made within my first 2 hours of using Kinemac, which shows how easy it is. Pointers? Prez Jordan

Remember the 80s? No? Good, because now you won't need to. Today I'll be blogging about two british artists who are bringing the 80s back with their slick brand of electro synthpop. First up is Leeds based trio Heads We Dance. Signed to This Is Fake DIY Records, HWD always find a way to sneak some kind of technological love triangle into their tracks. "You Are Never Alone With Model 21" is essentially a commercial jingle for a robotic wife, and when asked to do a cover song [...]

Today's post will be something epic. Something really epic. To tell you truth, it'll be so epic, it'll be on parr with the Italian Stallion. I'm talking about a Rockysample, now who doesn't like that. I managed to find a remix of Samir's theme by DJ Debonair Samir that's quite rare. It starts of like the original but then the sound of a bell anounces the upcoming battle between the Rocky soundtrack and the original song. It's a close call, but Samir's tune seems to be the victor. I'm noy really surprised, because [...]
When it rains, a cliche phrase is brought into play. That is to say, I woke up to droves of rain today, though that doesn't exactly surprise me seeing that it's the Seattle area! Nice, cold, spring rain. Ah. Well, as I mentioned in last night's Peachy post (wasn't it just... dare I say it... peachy?) I had a jazz concert. What I didn't know was that my mom was having a huge girl scout meeting at our house, and wanted me and my dad to leave. So I went to my sax lesson, but since we couldn't come home, [...]

Priceless. Steve Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso - Partouze [Right Click To Download] Keep it funky, - Joe

... suppose I'll post a bit about the only one of his songs I'm very fond of. I am a very opinionated individual, and I'm not ashamed to be rather negative at times, so excuse me for saying that Louis La Roche is no more deserving of all his hype than Dark DJ's Dark House was deserving for it's relative underhypedness... if that makes sense. You see, a trend in filtered house right now is to use huge vocal samples and just throw them over a new bassline with a kick, and then sidechain. I find it both uncreative and [...]

I recently bought some software for the first time in years. A pack valued at nearly $1000 for only $39. How is this possible? The people down at MacHeist have been giving away free Mac software for a while, because developers want to get their names out there. Annually, they do a bundle of great software for cheap. My verdict? I, myself, never pay for anything but music. And I must say, this is the best 39 dollars I've ever spent. No, I am not advertising, [...]

Politically incorrect I know, but I had to. Oddly enough, I found this track on iTunes. While I have heard of Sinden before, Mapei and Stuffa were virtually unknown to me. Luckily Google Image search helped me find a photo! While I can't give any background info on this track, I assume it's not popular because I've never heard it, and it took a little while to find it on the internet. But it is rather amazing. Incredible sampling starts out this track. It seems [...]
