It's always good to hear a fresh take on old school electro in an upcoming release, and Endangered Species is definitely a stomper. It's one of the tracks off No Regular Play's upcoming album, of the same name. The rest of the album is leftfield and indulgent, but polished. The title track, Endagered, is the killer though. Sounds like: Marc Romboy making sweet percussive love to an electronic water buffalo. Check the track here: And NRP have even been kind enough to offer a free download [...]

This Saturday sees Miami's don of gangster house Jesse Perez brings his current global tour to our fair capital's doorstop, headlining the showcase laid on by London agency SPL (Slowpoke London). Joined by roster mates Sishi Rösch, tBOY and James Pople, Perez brings his trademark sleazy sound to Shoreditch. Having released on Hot Creations, Exploited Records and his own label, Mr Nice Guy, Jesse is pretty much hot property at the moment. Check out the video for his latest release from Exploited, Mama Me La... To win tickets to [...]

This morning brings another '90s infused music video treat in the shape of Tensnake's new single for Defected, Mainline featuring Syron. Think recent Bicep with a dash of Kim Ann Foxman plus a generous helping of GAP adverts of yore and you're basically there. Rachael Williams

Waze & Odyssey are part of a new wave of emerging UK producers who are helping to keep the UK house scene on its toes. After their first release in early 2012, "Ah Baby (Here We Go Again)" they've released a whole load of remixes, originals, and bootlegs, ranging from raw, urban garage tracks through to epic '90s-influenced house anthems. They originally created a fake background story about being US garage veterans raised on a diet of funk & soul in Miami, but then they came clean that they were just having a laugh with that story and are actually [...]

Climbers have been getting a lot of attention this year after their Beatport success with their feel good disco-house track, Equal Responsibility, amongst other things. Their remix of a MANIK's track, Parasol, is another low slung deep disco affair that will definitely get the girls dancing. They did a nice deep house set for a Colombian group of promoters called Sneakpeak, you can check it out here . Out 16th October Red Ben

Everyone was raving about Amine Edge for a while earlier this year, especially after Going to Heaven came out. His self-styled 'G-House' vibe seemed to represent a new style possibly emerging...which hasn't really gone anywhere, or at least hasn't struck a chord here on the UK underground scene. This latest remix though is a departure from that rap-house vibe and straight into peak time, anthemic 90s style house. With the likes of Bicep, Ejeca, Laura Jones etc all over it, this sound could get quite same-y quite quickly, but right now it is definitely really cool and [...]

Sixth Avenue Express is steadily building a strong repertoire of top-quality productions - and most of them are free to download. All of his tracks are nu-disco pitched around the 90-110 bpm mark, and I must say I've developed a bit of an unhealthy obsession with 'The Shame' (second track below) - the moody / melancholic vibes are infectious! Both tracks here are free to download, and if you want more freebies, head to his Facebook page . Monitor 66 - Triscuits (Sixth Avenue Express Lounge Remix) [...]

Waze & Odyssey continue their impressive run of form by unleashing this absolute monster bootleg of 'Bump 'n' Grind' by R Kelly. This is the second track in their Garage $ale series, and I've been blasting this on repeat ever since first hearing it on the weekend. Not sure if this will see a release, but if you email this link you should be able to get a free download... Garage $ale - Bump 'n' Grind (Waze & Odyssey Mix) Montagano
