After hearing a rip before I went out. Subsequently hearing it twice when I was out, from Bart B more followed by Ajax. I thought searching it would be easy. NOPE, struggled but did find it! Edison, Bootyslapperz-pump repeat(Mowgli remix) Download here

Last night I had the opportunity to see Bart B More, the Holland based dj/producer, play a two hour set. It was the first of his Australian Tour and he can rest assure that not only do the kids down here love his music, he can work a crowd. He played a two hour set which consisted of two somewhat different halves. You could tell when he hit the stage he was a little nervous, understandably, playing in a country you never have before and not knowing what to expect. The first hour of his set was very housey [...]

Proxy is from the cold, which may be the reason why he produces such high heated tracks. He falls under the Montreal based Turbo Recordings, established by Tiga. Before electro/tech house, Proxy produced Russian hip/hop, which was before he got picked up by Turbo. But aren't we are all glad he changed his ways? Everyone knows about Proxy with Decoy, Destroy, Dance in the Dark, 40 Seconds and more recently Raven which gets dropped like hot potatoes. However a new year has come about and will this year be the year of Proxy? His myspace says [...]

If you have not been informed on one of the hottest topics in entertainment this week then have a look at this. King of Pop, Michael Jackson had announced that he will be residing at the o2 Arena in London until February 2010. Yes, it is true ladies and gentleman, the wacked out, spaced out genius of pop music will be doing 50 shows beginning this July. If you want to have a laugh watch the press conference where he made the announcement. Whilst it is easy to defame the 50 year-old life of the man [...]
Want to hear something that only that dj/producer is playing? Well here is your chance with your help hence requests, I just may be able to solve an inaqeuate search. So leave you request in the comments and when I have enough I will put it up for sampling purposes only. You must delete what you have downloaded when your done. Remember mp3 s can be purchased from juno, beatport, etc. For an example Steve Angello, actually gave out a track to a forum moderator and at the same time put it [...]

Probably one of my favourite bots, Breakbot, is in Sydney on the 21st of this month, and to celebrate his arrival I thought I'd share some of his more obscure tracks with all you Staying Sick readers. Both of you. (Hey, we're still young.) As the only prerequisite for making electronic music these days seems to be a MacBook and a douchey haircut, Breakbot avoids this trend by displaying some rare traits for the genre: musicianship, individuality, and some French flair. Well, perhaps the French bit isn't that rare. I'm sure you've all heard Summerparty and his [...]

It's time to listen to...Whitest Boy Alive's recently released follow-up album, Rules . These Berlin-based masters of contemporary minimal pop have again been able to pleasure my ear drums with this new 11-track LP. I was lucky enough to see these guys live (accidentally, of course) back in London 2007. This band was practically unknown to anyone outside of the German indie scene - although Erlend Oye may sound familiar to some...Kings of Convenience anyone? It was at the Astoria in London where they supported Shoreditch kids New Young Pony Club. [...]

Alrighty, so this is a new segment that is going to be a regular part of the Staying Sick blog called quite simply 'Mix Monday'. The complex and thought provoking idea behind this section is that every Monday (after those big weekends) we provide you with a mix. These mixes will very from live sets to pre-made sets and maybe even the odd complilation. We will try our best to provide you with a tracklist for each set too. So for the very first mix I've decided to provide with a lil something I made. This is a mix a [...]

Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello have just travelled through oz for the Future Music festival rounds. Ingrosso was my most anticipated, as i was listening to BBC radio a week before when he started to reveal his newly inspired number called 'Laktos' which is due out soon on the refune label. Rumors spread quickely suggesting the duo would be playing separately but only amateurs would think that. The duo played a solid set, really digging deep. Everything from Pjanno to oldschool Dj Jean (which went off). The crowd was pumped and the boys let them know [...]

Style Of Eye, hailing from Stockholm, Sweden is a relatively unknown DJ/producer down in the land of Oz. A couple weeks back I saw Tommy Trash play a set and he dropped an oldy but a goody that reminded me of this minimal tech/house producer. The track was The Prophet and although I'm pretty sure no one in the club knewn what it was, everyone loved it. The track probably falls into the category of minimal tech and has this eerie feel to it. After hearing the tune I went home and haven't stopped listening to it since. This was [...]

Ok, I know its been a while but 'staying sick' is back and for good this time. Regular posts of a vast variety of music and other sweet shtuff is about to take off. You wait and see... So, last night I went to the N*E*R*D* show in Sydney. Grandmaster Flash was supporting and the whole evening was a high enery frenzy of Hip Hop madness. Flash, who was the first person to use a turntable as an instrument (ever), definately knows how to get a crowd going. Any supporting act that can get 7,500 people bouncing simultaneously has my [...]

Welcome. This may be our very first time posting but dont worry we know what we're doing. So there's no need for the first time jitters, hopefully this can be a long lasting and meaninfgul relationship. Staying Sick is a blog by people who have had a passion and following in and for music (and other fields) for years. We just decided that now was an appropriate time to grace you with our presence. As the neverending blog roll grows larger by day there is an increasing amount of stuff out there inspires [...]
