Really digging this spacey mix from Dynamics here on a-life - it's Lights' Siberia and there's a lot to like about it. The booty shaking bassline, the head bopping finger click sample or the eyes-closed head-back and swaying synth. Then there's Valerie Anne Poxleitner's vocals (and lyrics) - gorgeous (and so is she - check the pic . That mini-saw around the three minute mark breaks up the track nicely as well. Good stuff from the Cali boys. Get it below. ( No related posts.
Yeah it's that time again. Another a-life obsession post for CIVIL CIVIC. This time it's Street Trap . If you need the introduction check out my other posts otherwise just get dancing and smashing furniture below. No related posts.
This has been floating around for a while but it's my favourite of the Where Are You Now mixes is this disco funk-up by StardonE. Feels like The Twelves have taken it for a spin and I do enjoy me some of The Twelves. If you like The Sound of Arrows , Vanbot , Icona Pop or pretty much anything of that electropop goodnes I post then you'll dig this - Enjoy it in all of it's sunshiny goodness below. Okay this is a bit over the top with the back to back Usher posts but you got to check this out - Keys N Krates with some broody dubstep instrumental rework over Diplo's already amazing run. Would have loved to have a little more of the Usher left in this but then it'd probably change the whole game where this was going. Pretty much completely different - the start of the original on steriods and extended. Love it. Also trying something different below with the first (and probably a little early) a-life [...]
Some big a-life love for this here - Diplo smashing this track out of the park. I've tried on the remixes but nothing beats the original so far - comment below if you think you can change my mind Related posts: Benny Benassi & Gary Go » Control (Extended Mix) Brutha » Hold Me Down Matt Corby » Brother
Awesome Adele, Daft Punk, Carlos Serrano mix here. Something About The Fire - very sexy. Lounge mix this one, it's groovy. Put this one on with the candles. That synth around the 3 minute mark sounds like those french guys Air so many good elements to this track. And the start always makes me think that the Wilhelms Scream from James Blake is coming on Not a bad thing, and takes you by surprise. Get it below. Related posts: Yelle » Que [...]
Got tipped off to this one today. DyE - awesome track. Has a cool Neon Indian or Elite Gymnastics type vibe. The video below is a little NSFW but it's awesome. Related posts: Elite Gymnastics » Is This On Me? The Hood Internet » Polish City (Tyga vs Neon Indian) Lemonade » neptune
I'm surprised this is the first Madeon mix I've posted Oh well, cracker to start with. This is the kids take on Que veux-tu by Yelle. It's great that you can still get down to this track without knowing what the hell she is singing about It's that eleated disco do-over that Madeon brings. Think Bag Raiders slash Cut Copy and a sexy french broad singing along. Awesome French combo here. Watch it below (or comment if you want the download) Also, the lyrics posted in the excerpt literally mean [...]
Kickass Captain Cuts remix of Icona Pop's Manners right here. Ba ba ba baa - ba baa. It's pretty catchy. These swedish girls know how to cut a good tune and Captain Cuts are three lads from LA who haven't really got a whole heap of exposure yet. They give a sort of Steve Angello vibe to this track - gentle than hard with an ominous buildup and a fadout that begs repeating all the time letting the vocals set the bar. It's a good mix. You can get it below or on their bandcamp [...]
Something soft and simple for tonight. This is Evan Voytas' Tomorrow Night We'll Go Anywhere and it's gorgeous. No related posts.
This has been playing on repeat all night - it's VISITOR's take on Wonders by The Sound of Arrows. It's just a gentle, calm mix with no surprises. Basically something you can cruise down the coastline with the top down. Or even laying on a hill with a lover while fireworks play out above you. That's the feeling you get - a little bit nostalgic. First heard Yoni Einhorn in the Bastoblast mix with Basic Physics but this is him solo havind a good trance-y mashup time on Taylor Swift's Love Story and Rhianna's Who's That Chick - it works You get a real good vibe from it. Ears to the ground for more Yoni releases I reckon (or you could just follow his SoundCloud ). Mad skillz. This track doesn't go for long enough - that's about my only complaint. Oh, and there aren't any sexy vocals. That's about it. Although you could probably lay some phat rhymes from Cudi or Snoop over this if you really wanted to. It would work. I think anything could work with this. Opptimo, you'll hear more soon from Turkey's finest (and only artist I believe I listen to) in the near future. I hope at least. Mad track Related posts: Steve Angello vs Diddy Dirty Money » Knas [...]
Been a big fan of 5 & A Dime every since I discovered him on 8 tracks (awesome site). Only just got my hands on this one though - mad mixup of Flux Pavilion's I Can't Stop and Jay-Z & Kanye's Who’s Gon Stop Me with a little Destiny's Child intro - aww yeah - and a whole heap of other samples from all over the shop. This guy's the king of mashup in my books. Instantly loveable mixes everytime they're dropped. Check it below. Related posts: [...]
Heavy stuff here. Fresh from the EPTIC EP is Like A Boss - it's got a bit of that 8bit twang and then the dirty, filthy bass that you'd come to expect from any self-respecting dubstep artist. Lots of energy in this one - expect to hear it mashed up into all sorts of jams over the coming months. This fell into my inbox the other day - and it's hard to define as a genre. Maybe dance revival-piano-electrofunk. It's got that synthpop nu-disco 'vibe' is what I'm trying to say. So if you dig that kind of thing, muso-duos from Sweden or bongo drums (yes this has them), then get on board below. Related posts: Digits » Lost Dream Brutha » Hold Me Down Class Actress » Weekend
So I checked my Soundcloud inbox today for the first time in a year or so (I'm slack) and saw the My Gold Mask had sent me their track Ghost In Your Bed - awesome track. Then I did a bit of searching around and found this Robots With Rayguns mix and it is friggen sweet So I'm sharing it with you guys.
Love this song. Summer night slow romance type track that plays when you're out on the deck looking over the waves. That's what this is for. Lyrics are brilliants too - heartwrenching type stuff. If you're into stuff like Tanlines you'll be keen - get it below. Related posts: Tanlines » All of Me Labyrinth Ear » Navy Light Steve Aoki » Ladi Dadi (The S Remix)
Sweet as mix here from The S - definitely raises the temp, volume, whatever on Steve Aoki and Wynter Gordon's Ladi Dadi. Awesome stuff - love it. That grimey bass just puts so much more power into Wynter's vocals. Sounds more like an anthem. Fuck yeah great mix Secy lyrics too Related posts: Afrojack & Steve Aoki ft Ms.Palmer » No Beef (HLM remix) Body Language » Social Studies (Plastic Plates Remix) [...]
Another mad as R3hab remix here - this time on pop and R&B artist Cassie's King of Hearts . Gets down and dirty and then comes right back to the stripped back soft singing of Cassandra Ventura. Brilliant job - it's a grower definitely the more you listen. Great drops.
