My friend Dermot McGowan aka Figure of 8 has a flair for well crafted, emotionally driven tracks. With this take on Lana's take on the classic Blue Velvet he has outdone himself. Musical shifts, thoughtful arrangement, this one takes us on a hypnotic, sexual joyride. With so much fluff to sort through, this song brings some refreshing substance and a passion that is palpable. Thank you good sir. Well done indeed. Blue Velvet by Figure Of 8

We've been waiting for this release since we last blogged about Falcon Punch and Roller Radio's I Might Be Gone. Finally, here it is. Falcon Punch & Roller Radio - Never Enough by Falcon Punch Never Enough is a golden, sunny, washed out, smooth, disco vibe: a 1970s summer. Listen to this song while laying poolside. Summer's coming, the water's warm, so take a dip and dive into this tune. Free Download as well?!!....Happy [...]

The Knocks, Goldroom, St Lucia.....as always Josh delivers a stellar remix. Considering the quality of the company he is keeping these projects have more and more of a collaborative type vibe. One of the many things that is awesome about how much Goldroom has blown up is watching people that he used to be blogging about for free on the blog working with him and seeking him out. Pretty inspiring. Beyond that the magic is obviously in the music, this one has an emotional edge, a little more subdued a little darker, still infectious and superbly done. Check it out. [...]

This post features the talented Tim Bernhardt, or Satin Jackets : the guy who stole my heart (and probably yours) as I still continue to blare “You Make Me Feel Good” over and over and over. Alongside Tim you will find another Binary favorite, the irrepressible Patrick Baker .Get ready to fall in love. Satin Jackets feat. Patrick Baker - Only You (Original Mix) [96kbit] by Satin Jackets We have a nu-disco masterpiece here: rollin’ bass, captivating vocals by the always incredible Patrick Baker, [...]

If anyone’s instagram account can make me “lol” - it’d have to be Jerome LOL’s (he also goes by Jeremy Potter for the more prim folk).More importantly, he deserves an award for emanating smiles through music. Here’s a remix of Classixx’s “Holding On” – with a bit of a 90’s twist, as per the low frequencies, and with a hell of a lotta drum clap. He slows this one down slightly, but don’t fret - it’s still bright and shiny for the imminent summertime [...]

Treasure Fingers is back. His latest, entitled "Cloud Life" is a reminder of how amazing he is as a producer and a breath of fresh air. Musical, awesome sounds, cool breaks, this is a beautiful song. Did I mention it is a free download as well? Happy Wednesday: Treasure Fingers - Cloud Life (Original mix) by Treasure Fingers Grab it while it lasts. Memorable music. Binary approves

Final DJs and Gin Joints. City nights EP. Out Now! Great release, this showed up in my inbox and really grabbed me. At this point I have come to accept that I am going to be feeling the sounds that Final DJs come up with, having said that there are some that I am more partial to. This Ep represents some of their best work so far. Each remix adds a slightly different but worthy in its own right version. The original is tight. Final DJs // Gin Joints. Get up on it. Happy Wednesday. [...]

Embryonik creates multi textured synth goodness. The depth of the tracks and the emotion within them is both unusual and fresh. Check it out : Embryonik - Gliding - (demo preview) by embryonik This jam is on some drug induced, post apocalyptic, cruising through the war ravaged streets type illness. Fire everywhere, leather pants and crossbows type shit. Somehow though, a hope begins to build, the memory of beauty. The dream of somehow revisiting love. Deep right? [...]

Arcade High , or Ryan Boosel, is an 80s synth producer signed on Aphasia Records . He started making music in 2011 when, as a film student, he was given the assignment to make an 80s slasher film. In an interview, he told me " I took on the role of producer and wanted the soundtrack to be synthwave. I had recently discovered the genre and spent quite some time exploring artists in the scene. During this process, I felt a sudden urge to write my own [...]

You may have noticed a song by the name of “Gold” by the artist Bondax blow up in the beloved blogosphere lately. Bondax is a collaboration of two emerging British teens: George Townsend and Adam Kaye. The original version of this song is a low key, hip hop-house tune featuring quite the sultry vocals, might I add. And as a nice touch, I’m fairly certain I could hear the sound of birds chirping amidst the lovely piano denouement. [...]

Goldroom. Now performing as a live band as well as a dj this golden sound is getting bigger and bigger. Josh seems tireless in spreading the vibes and his growth and dedication have really paid off. Only you Can Show Me has Goldroom in full-on dancefloor destroyer mode and the pop appeal is delicious. Check it out. Goldroom - Only You Can Show Me (feat. Mereki) by Goldroom Funky, kinetic and full [...]

This is some shit that will have you breaking out a kangol, regardless [...]

I love when I hear a song, and within the first 5 seconds, I know it’ll be my favorite jam for the next little while. I present you with: a remix by Oxford that does exactly that. Felix Da Housecat feat. Miss Kittin - Silver Screen (Oxford remix) by Oxfordsounds The Oxford sound has quite the appeal. France’s Antoine Rigail began learning piano at the age of 5, and his early musical training certainly does not go unnoticed. He also self-taught himself guitar, which [...]

Nice! Binary family member Fabian returns with a banging new original. The quality and bounce you expect on a grand scheme. A little bigger than our usually posted tunes this song shifts and breaks. Builds lead into unexpected directions while the semi robotic refrain guides you through the cosmos.Dope. Fabian - A Million To One by iamFabian This one is set to blow up. Trying to sit still is futile, no standing [...]

Local L.A Legends Bixel Boys expand their empire with their debut Ep. Both songs are rad. Check it out. Love Like This EP by BIXEL BOYS This collective has been bringing some of the sickest acts to our home with their notorious rooftop pool parties and recently through their Private Label events. Although they are very well known here in the city of angels they have yet to [...]

Let’s be honest, everyone loves a good Lana Del Rey touch - whether she’s a contributor musically, or a part of your digital life in general. Even though there are countless remixes of every single damn song of hers, I still can’t get enough. Chordashian, aka Brooklyn’s Felix Feygin and Michael Banks bestow us with warmth this winter by releasing their newest single, “Cold Nights”, which happens to sample Lana’s “Summertime Sadness”. Although it’s not very chilly in Binary’s home base of LA, we’re [...]

I didn’t think it would be possible to make Jonathan Wilson’s “Ballad of the Pines” any more beautiful than it is, but apparently I was wrong. Keenhouse delivers a heavenly remix, which I think you will all fall in love with. Jonathan Wilson - Ballad of the Pines (Keenhouse Remix) by Keenhouse This remix is timeless, gorgeous, simple. Keenhouse has strayed away from his heavier electro-house sound by gently adding chime and dreamy synths to create a masterpiece. [...]

This right here is my Jam. Ever since Patrick hit me off with the promo I have been killing this one. Literally on-repeat, like first song on the playlist status. When I first heard it I had to ask him if it was an original or some type of cover/remake. The sound is so authentic and tight, like an El DeBarge hit off the Short Circuit OST, totally 80s and perfectly produced. This is a talented dude. check it out: Get 2 Know U (Original Mix) by Patrick Baker [...]
