FELIX CARTAL just dropped his "Skeleton" EP on DIM MAK . The title track has been out for a while, but I tell you, the rest of the release is so good. In case you missed this one, here's another ace remix from the recent 21:12 ( LINUS LOVES ' new project) member BURNS . Sprinkles of glittering piano lay beneath a heavy bassline with some flared horns which all gives way to a some subtle acid tweakery. Overall the track is pretty dark giving it some contrast to the YUKSEK original. In 2006 he teamed up with DEAN GRAY when they started producing tracks together - the former taking the role of beat captain and the latter laying down vocals. I know I just posted some tracks from LENKA last week, but another remix pack just came my way and the NADASTROM dub needs to be shared. The beat is as catchy as swine flu (not so funny), built on a bed of chunky round bass and congos. Horns flare adding to the dub roots then some slightly crusty synth work keeps you moving. I wasn't sure how I felt about this one the first few times through this next remix. FINKELSTEIN works a bit of tech house into the MGMT smash hit. Don't get me wrong - I have nothing against tech house, in fact I grew up loving the genre - I found the intro a bit long and slightly tiresome. It's all worthwhile once the track gets going.
