![[Indie] Ra Ra Riot – Oh La (The Submarines Remix)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4052705_lg.jpg)
New Yorkers Ra Ra Riot had one of their stand-out tracks, 'Oh La', remixed by another great little band, The Submarines . Somehow this already joyous and enthusiastic song has become even sunnier, with reworking giving it an added kick of catchy vocals and sharp guitars. Definitely one to keep for the summer playlist, the original of 'Oh La' is on Ra Ra Riot's 'The Rhumb Line'. ![[Indie] The Shins – September](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4052670_lg.jpg)
After five agonisingly long years, James Mercer is back making music as The Shins . 'September' is the B-side to comeback single 'Simple Song', and was premiered by Record Store Day . It's a pretty straightforward Shins track, all jangly guitars and slightly cryptic lyrics, but it's incredibly refreshing to hear new music from the band after so long. 'September' features on The Shin's forthcoming fourth album, 'Port Of Morrow', out March 20.
![[Electronica] Foster The People – Don’t Stop (St Lucia Remix)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4052583_lg.jpg)
Everyone's favourite indie-poppers Foster The People have been remixed by South African electro/ambient artist St Lucia . Featuring gorgeous synths, infectious vocals and a killer sax solo right at the end, St Lucia has injected 'Don't Stop' with another burst of life. Such euphoria and irresistibility can only mean one thing: this track is going to be your new earworm within seconds. New dreamy, and a tad bouncy remix of Miike Snow 'Padding Out' , from their upcoming album Happy To You, out in March 26th via Columbia/Downtown Records. In all honesty, Jacques Lu Cont did a decent job adding an extra level of dance, with a more aggressive progression of melodic notes overlaid with a prominent baseline. Though it does sometimes feel out of place, the remix soon turns into a relaxing electronic dream. Still trying to warm up to this new remix, but what do you think? Make sure [...]
![[Electro] Feed Me – Strange Behavior (Caveat Remix)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4052050_lg.jpg)
It is a tall order to take on the likes of UK giant Feed Me for a remix project, but fate rewards the bold. 16 year old San Diego remixer Caveat stepped up to the challenge with his rendition of "Strange Behavior". Although the original definitely has more punch, Caveat's rendition takes this epic vocal track into eery new places that Feed Me would likely be proud of. In any case this is a damn good job from a 16 year old and it is hardly fair to compare it to a seasoned veteran such as [...]
![[Gamer Electro] Walden – The Platform Theme](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4052049_lg.jpg)
Here at The Music Ninja we love talented young producers who break into the scene with exciting new musical ideas. Unrestrained by rules or industry standards, these young producers are simply making music for fun and it shows. 18 year-old, Sydney-based producer Walden exemplifies this kick-ass spirit with his latest rendition of the Mario Brother's Theme. At one point or another most of us have wasted countless hours playing this timeless video game franchise so it is cool to see it become the inspiration behind a slamming electro tune! So throw it on your sound system next time [...]
![[Album Review] The White Album – The Album](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4051879_lg.jpg)
Danish indie folk band The White Album make it difficult to do two things. One is to stop humming their catchy melodies, and the other is to google them. Seriously, you'll wade through ten feet of Beatles references before you find them... But, like sifting for gold, it's worth it when you find the treasure you're looking for. The Album has been getting the band a lot of attention, championing them over twenty thousand plays on their bandcamp in only seven months and earning them play on the UK's Amazing Radio. In fact, [...]
Labyrinth Ear - Amber from oof video on Vimeo . London duo Labyrinth Ear are making quite a name for themselves with their sharp and icy electro tracks. Take 'Amber' from their EP 'Apparitions', for example. A gorgeous 4-minute pop song featuring biting synths contrasting with delicate modulated vocals. The video (NSFW) is shot largely in monochrome, and has echoes of fashion ad campaigns. With this perfect combination of effortlessly cool disco and arty visuals, Labyrinth Ear have the full package. Expect to hear 'Amber' everywhere in the coming months. 'Apparitions' is [...]
To have your song played by Swedish House Mafia in Madison Square Gardens, in Manhattan, New York, has got to be one of the coolest things you could say about yourself. Well - that's the case with Hard Rock Sofa . Their song Quasar, which is out on Axtone records, was played at that show. We had a chance to fire over some questions for these guys, and ask them how they felt about it. Check out their answers below Q: First off, tell us a little bit about Hard Rock Sofa. How did you [...]
![[PREMIER] Deth Hertz & No Body – Ready 2 Fly (Full Stream)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4050024_lg.jpg)
Chris Lake's Rising Music may be located in London, but this has obviously not stopped their ability to recognize upcoming talent overseas. Deth Hertz and No Body , two American acts based out of Los Angeles, are about to make their label debut with what it appears to be an already Deadmau5 supported track. 'Ready 2 Fly' takes you exactly where you want to go. A beautiful and mellow start with feather-like piano chords that lightly lift your ears well above the clouds, only to later let go at the mercy of an [...]

Skylar Grey does not cease to amaze us. Her powerful angelic vocals are able to pierce through tracks exposing a deeper emotional core. Paired with feather-like synths, big room house build ups and a heavy growl of a bass, you simply get a standout track that exceeds all expectations. Paris-Born producer Gregori Klosman infused Kaskade's 'Room For Hapiness' with enough electro to call it his own. It is nothing like the original and ten times filthier. Kaskade feat. Newton abbot's Alice Jemima has been making a name for herself lately with her new single "Far From Here". ![[New] Future Unlimited – Golden](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4048761_lg.jpg)
Nashville's Future Unlimited are taking the Internet by storm with the first single from their debut EP, Cloak & Dagger. The new single, aptly titled "Golden", shines boldly fluorescent stage lights on the face of the electro scene- meandering back and forth from a sound reminiscent of the UK band Mirrors to a groove that nods with elation in the direction of 19802s synth pop. Future Unlimited is still pretty new on the world stage but they hype keeps building as we all ponder what will happen when Cloak & Dagger is released on February 29th [...]
![[Electro House] Cassie – King Of Hearts (R3hab Remix)](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4047438_lg.jpg)
It's time for a late night post, so don't go to bed just yet. We have one more treat for your Wednesday evening. Netherlands based producer R3hab just released this remix of Cassie's "King of Hearts" eleven hours ago, and you definitely should take a listen. The dreamy one minute, thirty second build up is perfect for bed time, but don't get too comfortable. When the beat finally drops it rings in your ears like a triple shot of espresso. The hard electro synths are tied in tight with this bangin' beat, and play [...]
![[Indie] Wildcat! Wildcat! – Mr.Quiche](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4046962_lg.jpg)
Wildcat! Wildcat! is a three headed giant, in the musical sense, from Las Angeles. The band is part of "Black Eye Music", which revolves around member Michael Wilson and his collaborations, which makes the bands future as mysterious as its past. The band has been finding e-success through its blend of electronic overtones, indie rock sensibilities, catchy melodies, and trendy cat themes. Their new tune "Mr. Quiche" has a solid percussive base that is filled out by keys, synth textures, and infectious vocal lines. The trio's combined efforts work together to create an atmosphere and mood that [...]
![Feed Me – Escape From Electric Mountain [Album Stream]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4046902_lg.jpg)
Feed Me and his little green goblin avatar have become ubiquitous among dance music fans over the past few years thanks to his multi-genre, razor-sharp production style and keen sense of branding. Much like his mentor and label boss Deadmau5, Feed Me has put his music at the forefront of his image closely followed by a cute yet sinister cartoon identity. As the little green monster shows up on bills and social network profiles in place of the british human behind the music, Feed Me's image builds from simply another great producer into the iconic status sought after by [...]
![[New] Gigamesh remixes Grouplove’s “Tongue Tied” + Free Download](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4046805_lg.jpg)
One third of Senor Stereo, Gigamesh has a penchant for delivering quality remixes of popular songs. His latest release is a new take on Grouplove's "Tongue Tied". Gigamesh manages to keep the heart of the original track beating through a meaty, percussive, kick drum right from the start. The synth textures swirl and wave overhead while paving the way for Grouplove's incredibly catchy gang vocal lines to come in. Once the parts all work in harmony at about the thirty second mark the song really begins to come to life and hits you with a wave [...]
![[Indie] Hospitality – All Day Today](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4046500_lg.jpg)
As a service term, hospitality represents the welcome, care, and entertainment of guests and strangers. The band, though, gives the term a meaning of its own. Brooklyn band Hospitality is fronted by Kansas City's Amber Papini, whose voice dances in the influence of Artists like Regina Spector, Laura Gibson, and Jesy Fortino. She combines the most exciting points of all three and pairs the delivery with a sturdy backing band that features Brian Betancourt on bass/vocals and the electro-guru-turned-drummer, Nathan Michel. The band has recently put out a self titled album that's received great [...]
