I think I should start this post by saying that the first album I saved money for and bought was 1999. I had other records and 8-tracks before that one, but it was the first that I dedicated my own earned money toward. Just want to put that out there to somehow give you an idea of where my own tastes drove me when I was 10-ish. Last night Magpie and I went to Opie's for Wax Wednesday. My favorite part of Opie's is that the sign says newly remodeled and no matter where you go on the inside its not evident where that remodeling happened. One side has crazy disco floors and wicker furniture. The other side has a parquet dance floor with broken stained glass windows, mirrored walls, and flashing rope lighting.
