Wow, what a song! After hearing Micachu's Boiler Room set, we were blown away. This girl know what's happening. Her set at the Boiler Room was completely made with tracks of her own and what a selection. Some of you might know her as leadsinger with her band "Michachu and the Shapes', an experimental pop band, producing songs on home-made instruments. Rubber Beats Vol III (drops on Sunday 1st of April) is the third music compilation composed by the Belgian record label AOU (Caoutchou Records. In our opinion, their best so far. We at Ego Thieves are big fans of what Henry and the Audio Doughnut family are doing. Its no wonder than they have been quoted as one of the best club nights of 2011 by Mixmag. Post Dubstep, Organic, Deep, Intelligent or even Arthouse. What ever you decide to tag this genre of music, we are only happy it's finally getting the attention it deserves. We have been pushing these sounds for a long time now and glad to see so many new producers getting in on the act all around the globe. The sixth edition of Dubfluence is no different. Showcasing some tracks you know, and most defiantly some you don't. This mix also represents the start of the spring transition, finally moving away from these ever cold winter nights.

Later today sees one of London's finest music platforms team up with Yeah, Maybe for some enviable late night hours of low-frequency festivities. Lovers of J Dilla's boom-bap will instantly fall for this, 'The Mission EP' by London-based Eric Lau and Detroit's Guilty Simpson. This vid sees Eric talking about the production of the EP and collaborating with the Michigan lyricist. It's out February 3rd on Vinyl x Digital. One of the best, which emerged just yesterday, comes from lovestepper Two Inch Punch who gives 'The Look' a sexy overlay with eargasmic consequences. Sadly a bit behind posting this release as we forever play catch up with all the music we love. We are also no stranger to Ghost Mutt and Ego Thieves favourite label Donky Pitch . Not only does Sweat Mode EP bring distorted R&B vocals in a world of Miami heat straight from the 80s, its also free to download. Ghost Mutt is a real talent and will be flying the flag this year for Electronica in the UK we are sure of it. More of him on his Facebook and Soundcloud .

Not sure how we even came about this one...was probably Asa just popping up on our Facebook stream lol. Love what he has done to the 'Initiation' track by The Weeknd . We seriously can't get enough of FaltyDL (as you can clearly see but all of the posts). Trying to fit this guy into a genre is near impossible, is it Garage? Dubstep? Experimental? We have no idea, but we do know we'll be listening to him long into 2012! The feature track from his album You Stand Uncertain, a review we read over at Factmag described the album perfectly.
