Here is Dubfluencial 1, 'The Missing Mix'. Finishing the series where we first started it. Yes...this is the very last Dubfluencial mix we will be putting out. This mix contains some of the key 'game changer' tracks for us. This is more or less the 8th version of the mix and something we don't feel we could ever get right, but hope you enjoy it and put on your nostalgic dancing shoes nether the less. To the huge impact of the series we have also released a large print version of 'Kong' [...]
Belgium is known for it's crazy nights and amazing crowd, but who is behind these parties ? Next to several widely known organizations such as Untitled, Hertz, Daily Dubstep & Rampage, there is Blackline. One of the younger players of the game, but these guys are taking it seriously. By keeping on being fresh by trying to combine different genres, with the same feeling and quality. With a huge variation from dubstep, drum and bass, minimal, techno, rnb and even the harder style core. Their next huge event, SELECTED DUB invites GETDARKER, takes place the 11th of [...]

Wow, what a song! After hearing Micachu's Boiler Room set, we were blown away. This girl know what's happening. Her set at the Boiler Room was completely made with tracks of her own and what a selection. Some of you might know her as leadsinger with her band "Michachu and the Shapes', an experimental pop band, producing songs on home-made instruments. But most of the songs as heard on the set were produced under her stage name "Micachu". Check out the Boiler Room set here , and her website here . Keep an eye out on this [...]
Rubber Beats Vol III (drops on Sunday 1st of April) is the third music compilation composed by the Belgian record label AOU (Caoutchou Records. In our opinion, their best so far. What you find on this compilation is not only a huge amount of tracks, but also a glimpse into the beautiful and fascinating future of Electronic music. Some of the featured artist are Bobby Tank, Digi G'Alessio, Ninjato, Coco Bryce & Pomrad. Pomrad, a Belgian based producer, is a beast when it comes to the future beats, creating interesting and powerful [...]
We at Ego Thieves are big fans of what Henry and the Audio Doughnut family are doing. Its no wonder than they have been quoted as one of the best club nights of 2011 by Mixmag. Now they are back with their first event of 2012 to be held at Britons Plan B. Oh and they aren't holding back the goodies. With an eclectic line up including Leofah, MJ Cole, Live set from Redinho, Wookie and one of Ego Thieves favourite young producers of 2011, Skanky, as well as many more. This is again, another night you should really make the [...]
Another day and another video to accompany the new Odd Future Vol 2 mixtape dropping March 20th. Also, lets not forget their North American tour starts this Friday (March 9th 2012). Oh, and just because we love it so fucking much...click inside the post to watch the 'Rella' video just one more time. Who though they would been even more dangerous with some cash injections?
Finally we are getting round to our backlog of posts from our dam server issues. First in the cue is Post Living . A brand new company creating art mounted, contemporary furnit ure. You may be saying whats different about that? Well, what they are doing is collaborating with some of the best graphic artists on the planet. One of their first collabs has been with obvious Ego Thieves favourite, JThree . Using JThrees ' Go To Sleep Citizen ' art, mounted onto three 18MM MDF and sealed with a durable finish, along with a pair of [...]
Post Dubstep, Organic, Deep, Intelligent or even Arthouse. What ever you decide to tag this genre of music, we are only happy it's finally getting the attention it deserves. We have been pushing these sounds for a long time now and glad to see so many new producers getting in on the act all around the globe. The sixth edition of Dubfluence is no different. Showcasing some tracks you know, and most defiantly some you don't. This mix also represents the start of the spring transition, finally moving away from these ever cold winter nights.
Later today sees one of London's finest music platforms team up with Yeah, Maybe for some enviable late night hours of low-frequency festivities. The night, dedicated to house, bass and R&B sees each room delivering the utmost bliss with DJs such as Mumdance, Arp 101 and headliner Seiji (of Bugz In The Attic glamour) holding the fort. With Metronomy scoring one of the highest acclaimed albums of 2011, it's only fair that there have been an onslaught of remixes, reworks, rejigs and similar re's to boot. One of the best, which emerged just yesterday, comes from lovestepper Two Inch Punch who gives 'The Look' a sexy overlay with eargasmic consequences. You can keep up to date with all of T.I.P's musings via his Facebook page and don't forget to check out his 'Love You Up' EP which is available via iTunes .

Sadly a bit behind posting this release as we forever play catch up with all the music we love. We are also no stranger to Ghost Mutt and Ego Thieves favourite label Donky Pitch . Not only does Sweat Mode EP bring distorted R&B vocals in a world of Miami heat straight from the 80s, its also free to download. Ghost Mutt is a real talent and will be flying the flag this year for Electronica in the UK we are sure of it. More of him on his Facebook and Soundcloud .
Not sure how we even came about this one...was probably Asa just popping up on our Facebook stream lol. Love what he has done to the 'Initiation' track by The Weeknd . Hard drum loops for the dam win. Not for release, just a dance floor bootleg. Keep up to date with all things Asa on his page here .
We seriously can't get enough of FaltyDL (as you can clearly see but all of the posts). Trying to fit this guy into a genre is near impossible, is it Garage? Dubstep? Experimental? We have no idea, but we do know we'll be listening to him long into 2012! The feature track from his album You Stand Uncertain, a review we read over at Factmag described the album perfectly. " Drew Lustman's second album as FaltyDL draws you in and swallows you whole, submerging you into a world full of emotions, hidden meanings, flashbacks [...]
Jason Chung (Nosaj being Jason backwards) was inspired at an early age by the hip-hop radio stations that the bus driver would play on his way to elementary school, and particularly by the Beat Junkies' turntablism on Power 106. When growing up he began to get into drum'n'bass and the rave scene; this made him delve into working out how to produce his own music with his Dad's computer. Self-releasing his first EP "Views/Octopus" in 2006 and releasing his debut LP," Drift" , on [...]
The reeking twosome that is Stinkahbell have gone and released this hallucinogen of a visual for their latest single 'Switch Up The Gears'. The anticipated low end grumble is in tow as well as a hype-inciting couple of verses from Janset. Also on it's way is a 3D version of the video which is expected some time next week.
"Characterised by a pop-infused, fresh and precisely clean production style, Kito 's music has received support globally from a number of leading DJs and producers. Having had her first completed tracks picked up by none other than Dubstep pioneer and figurehead, Skream, and released on his label Disfugured Dubz, Kito hit the ground running. Since her first release in 2009, Australian born Maaike Lebbing has gone from strength to strength." We took this from her Last FM profile , usually something we don't do but we [...]
