As if The Avengers wasn't already going to be an amazing film, now we get a soundtrack that pumps up its amazingness. Soundgarden has released a snippet of a brand new song appearing on the movie's soundtrack called "Live To Rise" which you can check out down below. The soundtrack will be available on May 1st and then the movie comes out on May 4th. Every superhero needs his theme music and The Avengers decided to get distorted.

Remember all the hoopla surrounding Aerosmith over the past year and a half? Would Steven Tyler leave the band? Would Joe Perry leave the band? Would there be an Aerosmith at all now that Tyler is an American Idol judge? Well, apparently, our questions have been answered. Tyler, Perry and all the rest have announced the band's first North American tour in three years. The new album from Silversun Pickups, Neck Of The Woods, is being released on May 8th but we get to sample a bit of it right now. The Mars Volta are dropping some new music into your iPod next week (unless you downloaded the leaked version already) in the form of their newest album, Noctourniquet . But you can head on over to Rolling Stone 's website to stream the album in its entirety before the album is released. This is the band's first album since 2009 and is their sixth studio album. One of the more exciting acts that I saw at SXSW last week was Ceremony. The California punk-rock band played a set on Saturday, March 17th that had kids jumping off of speaker towers and collectively losing their minds. I'm keeping this band on my radar. The anticipated album from Neil Young and Crazy Horse finally has a title and a release date. The album, Americana , will be available on June 5th and will mostly feature American folk songs. I can honestly say, with no regret, that seeing Jack White at SXSW was the highlight of my week . Yes, many may scoff at seeing big name acts at a festival designed to highlight up and coming buzz bands, but...fuck them. So it makes me pleased as spiked punch to know that White is bringing his amazing live show to more places this summer including New York, Nashville, Detroit and Los Angeles.
